There was also a text message from me (and the rest of the BM's) apologising for not being there in person - does that count?

Yes there will be another one, but I do want to keep it to a annual event only, we do have 'gettogethers' at various rallies throughout the summer so I feel one big meet up is enough really, trying to organise that and pick a weekend/place etc that everyone was happy with was a bad enough job... :D

Wotcha.
I poked me nose in.
I was charged an extortionate amount for a short measure of beer that was literally undrinkable - now it's bloody rare for me to leave beer, but I'm afraid "First Impressions" and all that.
That is one pub that I won't be visiting again in a hurry . . . . still, each to their own, just glad you all enjoyed the night.

Blimey mate, I didn't spot you there but I gotta say I found the 'Kronie' was spot on, I do however confess that I have no idea how much it was.
But BETTER THAN THAT they sold - 'Hot-Nuts' -
BETTER STILL I found my jumper the next morning.
BESTEST BEST OF ALL THE BESTMENTS - my digital camera was handed in and not nicked.
Oh and there was free coffee the next morning with a plethera of baconian butterinos to top up the Cholesterol too!
Are you sure you didn't get your drink from one of those bloody Ale Touts or somethin?
Doesn't have to be at the Vic, what about a small country pub somewhere?

Good one Grav, I suggest The Robin Hood in Angola.....thats a small country!
Angola is huge you silly person  :D
that why the Portuguese gave it back cos they couldn't afford to beat up the natives anymore, all that driving round in tanks cost a fortune in diesel.
Yeah but think of all the clubcard points the could have collected.....stupid gits they just don't think things through!

Northampton is a shoithole and the only biker pub has gone well down hill over the last year or so..... :(
there's a pub is bicester only about 70 miles further south than the vic, forgotten it's name, it had a better camping area, plus breakfast in the morning, dunno what the ale was like, but you'd have to supply the music cos they don't have regular bands like the vic. also there's a cheap travel lodge right next door.
um
gawd
grav or gypsy might remember it's name
plus we all went to a place called the nelson in west mids somewhere (again, grav can supply the details) which was excellent, outdoor loo, camping field, again you have to supply a band
also the place was earmarked for closure so dunno if it's still going
GRAV....! help my brain cell out please :D

ya mean The Plough at Arncott, yeah, that would be big enough but then we'd need a DJ - it's got looooooooooooads of camping space. We turned up a bit late for the Hex Rated and still found a space for the tent.
Rutland would be nice though - Anyone remember Rutland Weekend Television?

How about the Yorksire bridge inn near the ladybower resevoir. They do nice food, and they have a car park, not to mention the ride down the a57 is amazing. not a million miles from sheffiels in case anyone needs to go to the city for any reason. Need to check if they do camping.

I'd like to try to keep it around the Midlands area if poss, that seems fairest to me for all when it comes to travelling ... :D
well september is a way off yet, maybe if we book him early we can get stevie to do a set, and there's plenty of peeps on here with disco thingies, like creature, so maybe if we can arrange that then we could use the Nelson....still waiting for grav to supply details etc. I think Miss D knows the landlady so maybe she can let us know if it's still open for parties?
otherwise all we need is a pub with a field (not a car park with grass verge like last time lol) and toilet facilities
can't be so difficult surely?
btw we are more than willing to organise said event again :D
(though might check out the venue and facilities beforehand this time)

yeah we can visit all the pubs to check them out HIC !! :D
We'd like to come down (funds allowing) but would probably have to stay at a B&B as Dougie's back might not be up to camping.... :D
