LOL I play real money but Im up over the recent few weeks

started with the $25 minimum and just played $1 tables, won a few $4.20 a time, then moved to $3 and $5 tables, got my balance to about $56 so withdrew $50 and started again with my $6 dollars, back to about $53 now and once thats gone then its gone

Im pretty good at poker but too tight and poor to take it to the next level

the kid that works with me is well into it, saw me playing one day at work and asked why I was playing the cheap tables, he plays $30 buy in tables, he logged in and started a $30 table, won that one, $126

my stratagy on 6 player tables is to just play only the hands that I really feel are going to pay, ie "free" hands, when BB and can just call the hand, or when Im holding something special

I play for second place normally and then see what happens in heads up

usually try to get decent chipstack early on, and then just fold almost everything, no point getting drawn into losing that stack, last night I folded pocket kings, no real reason, but saw that 2 other players at the table were short stacked, knew that they likely to go all in as they were so low, so wasnt just a case of going for the call, but have to factor in the likelyhood of having to call their all ins or my call was wasted

they both went all in, and anohter player took them both out, as it goes I was right, he had pockets Q's and on the flop down came a queen

I didnt win anything in that hand but I didnt lose a thing, and most importantly I was then in the money, ie 2nd place, and with nohting to lose I started playing, called, flop came down, all diamonds K high, 4th street and the river came down, both diamonds, so K high flush on the table, hes bet about 50% of my stack, so I just replied to him that I wasnt going to miss out on a split pot, Im not stupid, he took the bait and called all in, I called that and ooops had the Ace of diamonds LOL

Well i'm sat here, tyring to stay awake, after a few cars around here were vandalised at 1am, It woke me up, and i ran out, to find bike ok, (phew) but wingmirrors on my car bent back, footprints all over it, dints in bonnet, moved car from allocated parking space back of house, to front of house, came in called police to get crime number, incase i needed insurance, told them bout my car, the neighbours cars, (which have all had damage done to them) and they arrived in 15 mins, very impressed i was, took a look at my car, and the little bastids had been back and done it again, in the time between, so i was then furious, wanted to beat the lot of them, got dressed and went looking for them, I know who they are, they aint even from this area. Anyway, gave up at 4am. Tesco shop is literally just up road from me, and the security guard in there, said 15 of em were hanging around, off their faces, on alcohol and probably more, so maybe good job i dint find em eh.
I wanna know what their parents think they're doing? altho they probably dont care.

i am new top the game as well, love the game, brilliant fun, but i dont gamble, so playing pretends ok with me....

had someone pull a fullhouse last night with a all in for $2k, i came back with a running flush from the joker, bet my bottom dollar, i would stand more chance in ice skating in hell than that to drop in a proper 'money' game :D

I'd like to play poker, but on-line just doesn't cut it...

Instead I'm drinking cider and watching Stargate sg1 No44.... only another 20 DVDs to go (3 eps per DVD).

Has anyone noticed that quite a few references are made to other shows on Stargate...? and visa-versa.

Also I see some actors just can't get out of the Sci-fi circuit....

With the new laws parents are responsible for their childrens actions but must not smack then or disipline them so the way our society is supposed to work is this...Your children kick someone's mirrors in...you report them to the police..the police arrest them and fine them..you pay the fine..If you don't pay you are in contempt of court so you go to prison..if on the other hand you smack your kids they have the right to report you to the police..you are then taken to court for child abuse, and put on the child sex offenders register and put in prison...in the meantime your child is taken into care where other children get him/her hooked on drugs...now if you believe what I have written...are the parents really to blame...we have a strange choice...become criminals by smacking children when they deserve it and becoming criminals ourselves...or do nothing and raise a whole new generation of criminals...

So if you had found those kids actually kicking your mirrors, and had smacked one around the ears..his five friends would have reported you. when you said to the police "but I caught him destroying my property" they would hear "yes I hit him" the judge would say you should have just reported it and you would get done...think on this when you don't vote BNP at the next election...

Hey John,
Why wont i vote British National Party?

I've been doing a bit of thinking on this election milarky, as I have never voted in my entire life, as I found politics boring, I tried to take an interest a few years back, and all the parties promises sounded good, I got confused, then flustered on it for a while, asked a few friends who they were voting for, asked em why, a few said, coz i've always voted for them, others said, labour, coz my dad does, they look after the working man,!!!!! but no one could really tell me why they were voting, by which time I was rapidly losing interest and i just couldn't be asked, and i'm ashamed to say that.
I dint vote, so felt i'd lost the right to complain, so i just got on with it, but these last few years i have become appauled by what is happening to/in this Country, I am all set to put my cross in the box, For the Bristish National Party. I've even read up on em, and everyfink!
But your comment on previous post has made me wonder, Am i not able to vote for them, (is there a box for them?) or, were you just assuming that i wouldn't?

I still blame the parents, discipline starts young, and it was 4.30am in the morning when i stopped hearing the raucous shouting, and girlies screaming, i know these kids are ranging from 15-18.
Found out that 2 of the parents, who are dating, were at the pub, slaughtered, and was caught with illegal substances, so yeah, I blame them. Those kids of theirs may have a better chance in the social care system.

The girls are all 16, some may still be 15, but how many of you, would risk the arrest by slapping them, if it prevented them from walking streets early hours of the morning.
However teaching them from an early age to have some morals and self respect, so they aint walking around with a load of young dum full of 'baby making juice' lads. So yeah, I still blame the parents.

However that said John, I do understand totally what you were getting at, it is atrocious. (viscious circle)
Out of the group, which i've heard now was 15 in total, how many do you think had parents sat at home, fretting with worry, getting in their cars, out looking for em, like i have when my son, daughter or foster daughter hadn't arrived home, i was out searching.
I agree some kids are harder than others, my son a prime example, he wasn't into criminal damage, but getting drunk, stoned and shagged, but, he still had curfew, and i would still haul him away from his mates if he weren't home, and i'd do it, so he was embarrassed, he wouldn't use it as an excuse for a lift home, lol.
So yes, altho i see this viscious circle, I still blame the parents, for not caring enought about where there children are, what there doing, and not giving the little bastids discipline when they were young.

Ok reasons not to vote BNP

Anyone voting for BNP is a threat to the type of government we have got used to, the BNP stands for British rights at the moment..but if they were to get into power would they just be another 'them and us party'.. could they really stop mass immigration or are they just a lot of hot air...
The country is run by 'money men' and if the government wants to get in, they have to have the full backing of the media...at the moment the media is calling the BNP nazis, and racists so a vote for BNP is a wasted vote because they have no chance of forming a government.
Any nationalist government anywhere has been destroyed by the USA so if they got in they would lose the backing of the USA who we now owe a fortune to thanks to borrowing several billion from the USA to pay for the Iraq and Afghan wars...They would instantly call in all loans and knock us back into the poor house...all the Major euro countries would start a trade embargo with us and as we have sold all our factories off we would soon run out of spare parts for all the foreign things we have bought...

However if enough of us voted BNP at the next election, it would have the effect of making the government steal and adapt some of the BNP policies the same as they did with the green party...so I pass the ball back in your court...as John Snow says..Let's look at the swingometer...Just a bit of fun... :D John
