spent yesterday stripping the tank,then primed it,two coats of silver glitter basecoat,one an a half of orange tango basecoat,yes 1 1/2 friggin bungy snapped tank hit the floor,now the things got to be stripped again :mad:

Fugg! Has it damaged the tank? Or can you get away with just re-painting it?

Yep, Done the same thing.

Only I done it with the bonnet of me pick-up. Bloody big crash at 2am.

It stayed on the floor untill the next day and went on the motor as it was, new dent and all.

just looked at it now ive calmed down an no dents just scrapes so a liight rub down an hopefully itll be alright :rolleyes:

Unlucky, still doesn't sound too bad!

Closest thing I ever did like that was when I had the lowers of my old 750 slabside painted and they glassed over the front lower bolt down by the v-piece.
I thought it's only one bolt, that won't matter. :rolleyes:

First time I hit 90 on the motorway both freshly painted lowers ripped off and took off left/right. :D
