Dont know the full details, am talking about it on msn with some friends dotted around the country, apparently its in the letters page in this months 100%.
It is a bloody disgrace that this took place in front of his 2 year old son, I hope that this ****e is gonna be stamped out very soon.
As I am one of the many on here who sometimes take my children in turns to rallies

as it appears in the magazine.........
Dear 100% Biker
Teh kamikaze cave run (8th-10th august 2004) is normally a satisfactory way to finish my personal rally year. This year was no exception and i would like to thank the organisers of mobile chaos MCC for thier efforts.
As i was putting up my tent on Friday evening I noticed a nervous looking man for whom the term "walking on egg shells" could have been invented. especially when he heard my merseyside accent. Later on we got talking in the bar and he told me that a fortnight earlier he had been to a rally in nantwich where he had seen 2 members from a bike club from my area (who had more than twenty people with them) beat up a man who had a two year old baby with him! By coincidence I had already heard of this confrontation from people who had been at the same rally. The club responsible for the skirmish is an MCC and therefor had nothing to do with the sometimes complex club politics. However when 3 completely different people from completeky different areas of the country all thought it worth mentioning it to me during seperate telephone conversations. I realised that something seriously wrong had happened at nantwhich.................
It goes on but I suppose thats the main bit and I now have two aching fingers LOL.

those responsible should be handed life bans from attending a rally again. although i have no idea how that would be enforced. it takes me back to the eighties when mass brawls and intimidation were not rare. the mcc to whom these cretins are members of should be ashamed.

I always thought ppl went to the rallies for the same reasons:
Meet old friends
Get pissed
Get Rocked
Get Inspired
Get skint
Not fuckin beaten up by idiots !!!!!
I was at the Celtic Warriors birthday bash.. only idiot I saw all weekend was some guy try to take photos of the lasses, it was sorted without violence via a quite word in his ear..

I think the club should be named. People can then avoid them or if they are so inclined, meet them.
I know for loads of reasons the mag can't do that, and loads of people will no-doubt say I'm stirring it or something, or it's not the whole club, but as a club member, what you do reflects on the whole club. You meet a member who's a muppet, you will walk away thinking the rest are muppets. Or is it just me being narrow-minded?
At least this club should kick the fool(s) out and announce in the mags that they have done so.

my thoughts...
without the full background, i say its wrong to name the club, as was said earlier, the whole club then gets the bad rep.
In the end, it was a couple of people who did the act.
im not sure what the reasons were, but it should NEVER be sorted out in front of children.

I'd like to know the history before casting a stone.
Maybe the bloke who got a beating deserved it? Theft, wife beating, cheating...
Maybe he was just out of order and hiding behind the kid...
I've have always hated kids at rallies - rallies are grown-ups playgrounds the same as pubs are. I don't want to meet your demonspawn in the pub when I'm pissed up and I sure as hell don't want them running around me at a campsite

I dont know where to start here , So i'll just get on with it....
You cant make judgements on this situation untill you know the FULL FACTS
A long time ago when i was a commitee member of the Mercury MCC in glasgow we befriended a guy who used to come to the pub on club nights on his honda cg125...We didnt make any big deal about his choice/size of motorcycle as he was in a low paid job and had four kids of his own , plus five kids of his girlfriend that he lived with....In fact it was amazing he had a bike at all
He used to come with us to the ocasional rally and always took one of his boys with him, always a diferent one each time...explaining that as they all wanted to go, they had to take turns...so far so good...
At the rally site after the tents were up he'd come to the pub for a couple of pints but then leave to go back to the tent and his kid....we thought that was a pretty cool thing to do, ya know, put your kids before yourself just as the fun was beginning to get good in the pub
What we didnt know was
the fact that he was shagging the kid in the tent.
It all came to light when one of his sons and his friend was arrested for raping and killing his sister in the bluebell woods on the outskirts of glasgow.
his son and friend got twelve years each, but with the police questioning all the kids the gory details came out....
He later blew his head off the day before his trial at the high court in glasgow with a shotgun on the banks of loch lomond, leaving a suicide note admiting everything.....
Had we known of what he was up to, he woulnt have needed a shotgun in front of his children or not....
wait till you have the full facts before making judgements please
fuck me, this must be the longest post i've ever made anywhere.............

The Bottom line is that the geezers shouldn't have beaten up the father in front of the kid! That's inexcusable! Also why couldn't they keep any differences away from the rally?
If you name and shame them, you only end up looking no better than them!
Why not introduce the old fashion type stocks at a really? At least they would only be humiliated at that rally. And if this type of punishment is used at every rally then I bet there would be a lot better behaved bunch of peeps walking around? You can still get bladdered without causing a ruccus!

blackhat - i hope that that example is extreemly rare - most of us fathers dote on our kids, but if you see us at rallies you'll rarely see them giving a cuddle or even letting ya daughter sit on yer lap.... WHY cause some ar*ehole will accuse you of abuse.
I'm sorry to say this but that so called father got what he deserved.
As to the original topic of this thread - I still hope the club involved are brave and sensible enough to sort in house. As for kids at rallies, I myself think that we need them - to hopefully replace us when were dust.... But I believe parents should choose the rallies very carefully, were to take there children too. After all not all rallies are suitable for kids.
Also I feel strongly about parents who take there kids and then abandon them, the kids running around generally upsetting people or getting into trouble. Whilst thaey are in the bar getting p*ssed... Why oh why do you bother to bring them. I know from experiances we had at our rally last year about this situation.

I'm with you creature we do need kids to come to rallys but we also need responsible parents as well. yes rallys generally are a very safe place however they are not a free baby/child minding facility and if you have children at the rally then at least one parent should stay sober enough to sort out any problems such as kids cutting themself etc.
Some rallys are in noway suitable for children and they should be kept under control.

Was talking to a member of the club concerned over the weekend. I understand that members have been ejected from the club.
Whilst we do not know the reasons why they felt they had to beat a guy up in front of his kid, whatever the reason was, they should have kept it out of the rally.
And yes, they have a reputation for causing some disruption, although usually this is only high spirits.
Happy New Year everybody :p

I have no tolerance for kids at rallies. I want to go to enjoy myself and get r soled and boogie all night. I don't want to have to avoid out of control kids - I have to do that if I'm out shopping , sat in McDonalds or even at the local pub.
If a rally is advertised as a "family rally" then I'm happy to stay away from it , cos I know I won't be p*ssed off by out of control kids. Now maybe you folks keep good reign on yours , but you know that's not the case with a lot of people!
Back to the original thread - I would like to know the name of the club. If you're at the same rally , wouldn't you want to know who they are ? If something kicks off , then you know you who's backs you have to cover and where to "put the boot in". I make a habbit of watching everyone's backs when we're out and about , until you know everyone's cool and the partying kicks in.

Mate of mine was telling me that they run a creche at the the RnB...how cool is that.
I'll be taking my boy to at least one small local rally this year he's 3 and loves bikes bless im.
And no politically correct sick feck is gonna stop me from giving my boy a cuddle if a bike backfires and he gets nervous!

I'm all for a little cuddle every now and again.
I take my kids to a few local rallies, & WONT take em to rallies of a more adult nature.....till they r old enough....when they go, they r under strict orders to behave but have fun & meet other peeps etc etc....... lets not forget though that we as adults should be & act responsible (yea yea, to a degree !!) in front of kids under ANY circumstances.............based on what the original thread reads I cant see or think of any valid reason for what happened IN FRONT OF A 2 YEAR OLD.......... its fuggin bollix ????
as fer the pc brigade, they can feck right off ..my kids get the attention & affection they want ..end of
rant mode off....gotta ave a drink now & calm down ;)

I was at the ponderosa cafe llangollen this morning and when this guy heard my l,pool accent he asked if i was involved in the incident. talk about guilty by association. I would like to know who the club is just to avoid them.
I've been thinking this one over since I read it in 100%.
Was talking to a member of the club concerned over the weekend. I understand that members have been ejected from the club.

Glad to hear they've been dealt with. I remember this sort of violence from years ago, it just drives people away.
It's down to the rally organisers and the club concerned to stamp on it quick, and to be seen to stamp on it. Otherwise a lot of folks just lose confidence.

Will they be offering some kind of apology in the press?
as for kids at rallys, i wouldn't take my little ones, mainly because I get too pissed to care for them!! Take them to one day shows, like the Renegade and hert's NCC do's, but i would take them for a full weekend. christ, need a truck to carry all the toys, nappies and god know's what else

May have jumped the gun on this one.
Been discussing it, and it seems there were 2 ugly incidents west of the pennines last year.
The one I was told about led to 2 people being thrown out of the club and a couple more leaving in disgust, but I'm now sure it wasn't the one under discussion.
At least there are clubs willing to deal with their own problems members - let's hope the same happens in the Nantwich incident.
