bet your not so impressed with it if you ever take it apart LOL
yeah they good guns, but lately their quality control seems to have gone to pot
all good fun upping the power but to be honest its too dodgy these days, my local ol bill have taken action over 3 locals with air rifles, they now faciung charges of firearms possession etc
theres even new rifles out there that have been sold and when checked are illegal!!
there is no defence sadly as its your resposibility to ensure that its legal
keep your eyes out on ebay for a chrono to keep tabs on it
12ft lbs is the legal limit (for rifles) but you ideeally dont want any more than 11.2-11.5
different pellets will affect the power hence the safety margin
even dodgier with PCP air rifles, I seem their power levels go through the roof when left out in the sun for a bit LOL

I have one Bassman. Bloody good rifle fitted with a Simmons 440 scope. Spend some time setting it up and varying the pellets you use. Very reliable and trouble free.
I strongly advise you not to try and increase the power or alter it in any way. If the plod see you or your son out and about with it, they have a tendency to want to examine it. If they think it has been played with they can and will impound it and have it checked. If you are over the legal limit, you WILL get done.
Best to get a proper rifle bag for it. Not only to protect it but if plod see you going shooting and it is in a bag they tend to be a bit happier if the gun is covered.
Have fun but watch where you are shooting. Thanks to one or two idiots, shooting is now very contra PC.

just make sure you keep it just under 12feet lbs as you do not want plod on your case, i had a hw77k that was 22 feet lbs the law didnt find it amusing and standing in the dock wasnt 1 of the best experiences ive had either !!!!!
and once the riffle is over 12 feet pounds, (they then do you on charges illegal ammunition, and illegal silencer)

yeah isnt it barmy that you have to have a slot on your ticket for a silencer??
easy to get them cleared now, you just list it as health and safety or environmental reasons
but its a wierd world anyway, the number of stupid laws with guns etc

Thanks folks..
No intention of upping the power at all..
it is already 11.6 so plenty for what we need.. Was more interested in the quality and how it performs, and that seems to be fine with these.. the internet searches rate em as well.. so should be good for him..

I've got a HW77K. Good gun, don't get as much chance to use it as I would like.
Not many places round here to shoot it. :(
