Went shopping yesterday for stuff for the littleun. Saw a nice bed/cot thing and it had a set of draws, a changing thingy and a book case to match. Then we saw this really smart 3 wheel buggy thing thats all terrain and can be used for half decent paths in the mountains. Got some bed clothes and some really sweet sheep toy type things. The furniture is in Dark Oak which i like.
Managed to do some deals and get stuff in the sales to.
Go to the cash out to pay and it comes to a smidge over 2000 quid
**** a brick i think so pepped meself up by buying some Alpinestar Tech 3 MX boots :D
I need to go for a ride this morning to get over it all. Gotta do the room yet aswell. Wood laminates, redecorated etc etc :D
Sorry, yeah, we are a pair of ponce's but ****, the littleun deserves all we can give it. :D

It don't get any easier mate :) our daughter's nearly 21 and she's doing her placement year in China but we still have to pay two thirds of her uni fee's to Aston, plus a thousand and one other thing's we still stump up for. Not, i hasten to add do we begrudge the kid a single penny but fuck me they can be a drain on the old finances bless 'em :D

Its a trapped market, its got to be right/safe and fit for purpose. It also has to cost an arm and a leg... All for no apparent reason and for a relitively short time span...

And this is what sums it up for me mate. What its getting used for is priceless and deserves the best that its parents can do.
Am i gonna be soft git as a Dad? No doubt.
Well i keep my kid as safe as houses? To bloody right, to the best of my abilities. Nothing well be allowed to put my kid at risk of pain or hurt until it is able to make its own choices and even then i shall be watching, teaching and supporting in every way i can.

Theres a school of thought that feels that allowing your kids to sit in the garden half naked sturing sh*t with a stick and sucking a lolly pop, is better for a child, than a life of cottonwool...
Running, jumping climbing trees thats the way a kids life should be...
