Loverly christmas morning,

Snow in the air,

Woke my beautiful lady at ten for her meds with a cup of tea.

Got dressed up even ironed a shirt!!!

Drove to Mums for Christmas Lunch

Saw a Bird Of Prey on a post by the side of the road on the way.

Got a fancy new camera for my burfday so thought I would take some piccies of it.

Spun round parked on side of road hazards on.

Took photos

Stupid ignorant innatentive stupid f**king stupid tw t

Drives into the back of us at 40/50/60 no squeal of brakes no warning

just bang

He gets out walks to us, I am ok bruised and shocked

My lady?

She is in a wheelchair anyway, has a degenrative illness that no boggers ever heard off. Had a back operation in June. More than enough to deal with

Shes unconcious, then she has a fit, He says is she alright? I tell him to f*ck off, we were f*cking stopped what were you doing. He didnt speak to me again

Pokice ambulance the works (merry f*cking christmas)

It took the ambulance crew an hour to get her out 6 more hours in hospital while they x-ray her neck and back. They were worried about her neck and CT'd her neck and head as she had banged her head and kept having fits which were in danger of damaging the 'abnormality' in her neck x-rays as her head is still strapped to the board

Its ok tho, theres a happy ending

The abnormality is 'cervical ribs' little bits of bone that grow off your neck in a few people that dont look normal(no surprise, nothing about my girl is normal!) there is no fracture or dislocation (which is what they were really worried about) and we are at home safe if not sound.

She is bruised and battered. Her back is back to where it was just after her op, her neck is agony, there are two eggs on her head just waiting to pop out a little chicken but she is still swearing, being rude to all and sundry and so I know she's ok :-)

So have a great holiday christmas greetings to you all and look out

Its not what always what you do that matters its the other barst*rds you have to worry about

Sorry to hear that fella, but glad to hear the missus is still moaning, you know they're okay when they're nagging and moaning.

It's when they go quite you need to worry !!

There's always some silly twat's on the road and even more so at this time of year when the pubs seem more accessible. I assume the police tested him for DD ?

Yep but he was clear, Copper was really hard on him apparently even tho he was the meek and mild I know it was all my fault he really laid into him and pointed out to us that it was his fault pretty good driving conditions, good light, nothing wrong with the car etc etc and said they will prosecute if we want.

That was the other thing if WE want??? I thought it was done as a matter of course. I was suffering with shock anyway when he asked me if we wanted to adn I said we will think about it.

Part of me goes the stupid tw*t deserves all he gets

The other says well its christmas and there but for the grace of the gods go any of us

but there again I pay flipping attention when I am driving bike trike car van lorry it dont matter and I will not drive if I have had a sherbet or a smoke cos I care about the others in the road. I couldnt live with myself if I was ever unfortunate to do that to someone else so why should I let him go free (if I have a choice in it) or is the guilt punishment enough?

Answers please I confused

Wotcha.

I wouldn't mention the hazard bit if it goes to court.

If you'd turned 'em on, it meant that you thought you may be a "hazard", and as a result, you may be held partially to blame.

NOBODY NEEDS THIS!!!
You have to go through the legal process, i know its crap, and its a crap thing to happen to anyone, but thats life, n as i have learned bad things happen to good people.

Look after yer lady, and i hope things work ou for the best...

Live, love, and smile, you still have new year to look forward to...

Later Days

Glad to hear all is ok, ish now.
Things can only get better, can they, lol.
The legal is awkward, if it went to court and (it happens) he gets found not guilty would it hinder the claim? you have to think of every thing these days.
At least he sadi it was all his thought so get that off the filth.
Happy new yr, Hopefully.

Would tend to agree with the above. Go back and look at the scene of the accident, then go up the road and come back from the direction he was travelling in. See if there was any distractions for him, including the bird you wanted to photograph and put yourself in his shoes. I know it can be a bastard, but we all make mistakes, many of them don't matter 'cos they go un-noticed. It's when we cock-up at the wrong moment that accidents happen.

It doesn't matter if he said it was his fault when you go to court 'cos he can claim that he was in shock and intimidated by you or the police presence or was hurt himself and didn't know what he was saying. However an admission of guilt on an insurance claim goes a long way toward a good settlement.

Hope things work out well for you.....

I would tell them to prosecute for the following reasons:

1. the police should do it anyway and not put the pressure on you
2. he is a dangerous driver and needs to learn to pay better attention
3. it could have been worse - it wasn't - but it could be next time he isn't paying attention
4. you are more likely to regret NOT doing it months hence than doing it

anyway I am sorry your xmas was spoiled and I send best wishes to your lady for a speedy recovery.

take care y'all

At the end of the day, you can use one of the (Puts on a deep meaningful voice) "If you've had an accident that wasn't your fault bla bla bla" (drops the deep meaningful voice). help lines.

He won't pay but his insurance will !!!

Thankyou for your comments. I think Christmas or not. He should have been paying more attention.

I drive that road every week. It is a nice wide bit of road. Weather was clear sun behind him. More importantly lots of other traffic had gone past us.

I also didnt have the hazards on cos my lady remembers me putting them on before the ambulance arrived. I would have just been indicating left.

I think we will phone a "Have you ever tripped over a piece of grass the council havent cleared up" people and see what they say.

I feel like I have been caught at the end of the night by 5 blokes and given a good beating and my lady feels worse.

Anyway we are both ok, it could have been a lot lot worse

Do you have legal cover on your insurance? If you do, don't go to the no win-no fee peeps as your insurance appointed solicitor will do it all for free. No win-no fee carry 'Insurance policies to protect the solicitors against failure. My accident claim has gone on for more than 3 years and the solicitors costs are currently £8,000. If you do not have this cover, then no win-no fee is the only way to go. I always reccomend legal cover and have it on all my policies.

Good luck and a happy new year...........

it really goes to show that the world can turn upside down in an instant. he should be prosecuted because what happened was fucking inexcusible. it does'nt bare thinking about if you had been on your bike/trike.
