Wont bore you all with pic's etc as i know theres not many here that like dirt bikes.
Heres my XR400 taking a break just before tackling the timed stage on the Strata Florida. Dont look much in the pic but this section caused broken legs, written off bikes, twists, sprains and was a carnage :D Bloody great laugh, especially riding through the river to then have to exit via a rock face. :D

This is me dropping down into the Quarry timed section. You can just see my back wheel starting to lift as i drop down. This was by no means the steepest part. You basically had to ride off the edge of a slate quarry.

Theres loads more pic's to be downloaded, results to be posted etc etc etc.
Im just glad i only had one off over the 2 day, 240 miles event. Im guessing there were a lot of DNF's etc etc.
Anyway, thats enough on here. If your interested nip in and have a look here http://trailbikeandrally.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=119
Most of us only got home tonight so not much there yet but tere well be loads more added over the next few days.

God only knows how we didnt finish last. If you look at my times for the first few laps theyre about mid field or so. The last lap was what crippled us. Got stuck up with a bloke dropping his bike right in front of me, then mate bust his front tyre so we got his inner tube changed and found out it it was poking out of the tyre where the tyre had ripped a knobble off, a few more get off's then we thought bugger it so we stopped not far from the finish to take pic's, smoke, chat and arse about cause we thought we had gone over time . Bloody typical:D
Anyway, 107 out of 150 odd starters aint to bad. By rights i shouldnt have been there according to me doctor so im just happy i finished :D
It was so good to be out there again and doing what i love. Thats motorbikes for me, FUN :D
Get meself back up to steam for the next event now and get meself back up the order where i belong :D
Oh, the bloke in the vid on the KTM, i overtook him twice yet somehow he still beat me. Weird.

Bugger - still in trying to find time to do my write up on it for The Road. Must be great to have all that free time :(

The Stella is not half as demanding as the Cambrian, unless you do it on a road bike! Have a look at our pics of it ... and it is possibly the last one as well as they have now banned bikes and quade at weekends from riding to top of the Colle del Sommelier. They have even fenced off the summit....which I bottled out from with a mile to go as I was too nervous to take on the ice patches at the top two hairpins.

Have a look at it though here http://www.flickr.com/photos/scouseandjules/sets/72157600874880136/

Brilliant pics mate - thanks for sharing them.

Oh and well done to both of you!

I hope it's not the last - there should always be room for these quirky events.

Ah yeah, Stella Alpina. Always wanted to do that but this and that kind of prevented me. Nearly went about 5 years ago but bike let me down if i remember etc etc. It is different to the likes of the Cambrian etc as its not a competition, more of a challenge. Still bloody good though.
Hello Scouse by the way. :D

Yup it's all your fault we went :) After posing on KLR650.NET about 4 years ago about getting a UK crew up to go , stuck in my head for ages.

Two KLR's ,3 F650's a Transalp and an R1100GS later we hit on the right combination of bikes, money and time off so did it!

Ooooh - just checked the Stella report and a piccie of my bike is on page 68 when we parked up to get ripped off over badges that have never tutrned up!

Middle picci , it is the beemer with a two very visible stickers on the off side pannier , one round and white (Cafe De Bel, Valkenswaard) and t'other the green oval Devon flag. So must be my bike :)

Checked the site ...interesting .... just need a smaller trail hack, any one got any ex army MT500's or XR250's for sale ??
