Looking forward to it being on telly. Really enjoyed Long Way Round (DVD and book).
The Long Way Up (bottom of South America to the top of North America) should be worth the wait too hopefully.
My view on it (http://www.motorsickle.com/jealousy.php)

I think the whole adventure thing is cool (love the Dakar etc) and even though they undoubtably receive lots of help it's still entertainment I enjoy IYSWIM

I heard that terrestial BBC have bought it an' it's out sometime around Christmas ....
.... but then I ain't often right an' I could be wrong again.
An' if you want to make a trip, you'll find a way. It may mean that you don't go for a couple of years, but then you have that time to enjoy the plan. I do :D

Definitely BBC as they were promoting it and giving progress updates and blogs on their website while they were on the trip.

On 12 May 2007, Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman set off on a 15,000 mile trip from John O'Groats to Cape Town. Watch highlights from the journey here - and don't miss the Long Way Down series on BBC TWO this Autumn.

Most of you are probably better riders than me...but I could never keep a bike up in dry sand, tried it in Africa and Aden..fell off every time...the bike just digs a hole and falls over....I'm not much better in snow either.. :o John
