Maybe i'm too old, just dunno, but what the fúck is wrong with having a good drink with ya mates, sleeping it off, and riding home?
What the fúck is this obsession with trying to be the most irritating cúnt on site, dressing like a cúnt, screamin i'm bloody spartacus all night, revving the tits off your bike, and letting off a siren in somebody's tent?
Was chatting to a local biker in our local biker pub, for local people, on friday night. Good lad, daft as a brush, loves his bikes, thought it was a proper hoot telling me how he kept evveryone up at some rally singing Spiderpig ( ) in the early hours, then got loadsa flack for red lining his bike. Thought i was proper miserable when told him i wudda slit his tent open and stabbed him straight between the fkin eyes.
No wonder if i go to a rally i get driven there, have me skinful, then get driven away when the bar's shut.

Sorry Taff but I completely disagree with all this twaddle you've written here.
There's nothing wrong with anyone wanting to have a good time and irritate everyone else all night. If the poor bloke could'nt get to sleep, whats wrong with him revving his bike up and waking everyone up. Beats me how anyone can sleep in a bleeding tent anyway. Well Is'pose they ave to ave so much alcohol to knowck em out and then of course they will need to have a hang over the next day otherwise whats the point in anything.

Your just a miserable ole bastard right!!!!

Only kidding hun - just wanted to see what it was like for someone to disagree with you for once and have the balls to call you a miserable ole bastard :D :D :D

the bike revving gets on my tits, was ar rock and blues one year and the hero revver opposite our tent was revving his bike all day and night........................ how loud i cheered when his engine popped a piston and set the bike on fire and a good area of grass so he couldnt get near to put the flames out................."HA FUCKIN HA", to the tithead

..............and it always seems to be the plastic rocket hero race can type's that do it......................

Sparticus or other stuff eg: Spiderpig (from The Simpsons movie) - old an' somewhat borin' an' totally fuckin' annoyin'. I found hearin' the theme from The Vikings hummed just the once, then silence, funny at the NABD back in May but I don't want to hear it on a regular basis. That said, I have been known to get my mandolin out an' start playin' at some very stupid hour occasionally when rather twisted, but it is normally up in the main tent.

Red linin' motors an' bouncin' off the rev limiter - not fuckin' funny at all. Havn't really noticed that too much on any rally here this year. Faro was a nightmare last year an' I don't reckon I'll be returnin'. Wouldn't feel so aggrieved if the bloody idiots blew their engines up once in a while.

An' I STILL don't get the bloke dressin' as a woman thing. Save it for the bedroom please if that's what you want.

Misrable git ? I don't think so, I just prefer a rally to be about bikes, drinkin' an' chattin' with mates. A dj an' band thrown in here an' there is fine too.

whats this about blokes dressing up as women then??? they say alcohol brings out the truth in a person so maybe they are doing what they yearn to do but cant unless they had a skinful????

Nowt wrong with a bit of good ole cross dressing, women dress in mens clothes all the time. I wear jeans and T shirt - like you lot. Though I do draw the line at boxers and Y fronts. Find them a tad uncomfortable.

You see I reckon all you men want to be a girlie really

i dont go rallies much now, last straw was the mfn, air horns going off, giggling girlie's, idiots seeing if they could blow their bikes up, AND spider pig all night, now only rallies i go to are the 1s put on by the club, no joe public, only the 1s that get invited, cuts down all the dickheads, and idiots,
ahhhhhhhhhh, bliss :)

I must be a miserable old git too cos I find all this crap unspeakably annoying.

Get pissed, have a laugh of course, that's what rallies are for but why actively try to be as annoying as possible? And the engine revving thing - too much money or just no mechanical sympathy? How can anyone who's really into their bike think there's anything clever about doing their level best to fuck it up? Or in the case of blokes in dresses/stupid hats/etc why try to look as stupid as humanly possible? Beats me.

Get a life, get out more, get out of me face.

He canny love his bike that much if he revs the tits off it, aye I,ve noticed it at rallies the past few years I think its to do with getting named bands then you get the festivallers comin  their no interested in bikes just a piss up an tell their mates they were at such an such rally they should piss aff and gie us piece

Well surely Taff your club are in a position to lead the way by at least putting a stop to the revvin bike thing at the Bulldog. It wouldn't take more than a couple of you to walk over and confiscate their keys till the end of the rally for being dickeads and generally annoying everyone else. And if they wanted em back sooner how about donation to NABD or summit? Who's gonna argue?

I have been known to wear the odd silly hat at rallies and also a wig (hair's wasted on the young!), but bike revving and "sparticus" yelling are a pain in the rectum. I don't mind bagpipes, mandolins, acoustic guitars or other spontaneous live playing but ghetto blasters at 3 in the morning can bugger off.

I concur with all that has gone before re the bike revving and BASTARD Spartacus, but the dressing up thing? It's all part of the fun for me. I would feel naked at a rally without at least one of my collection of silly hats. :( They harm no-one, make lot sof people smile and are a great conversation starter when you're in the beer tent rather than wandering about the campsite looking at bikes!

Same with the daft clothes. The year I wore my meringue skirt, corset and tiara to Stormin I had a great laugh chatting to random people, most of whom smiled when they saw me.

That's fair enough dressing up a bit cos you want to, what I was thinking of (as well as the blokes dressed as birds thing) was the more obvious "look at me, I'm right mad I am" types of knobbers.

On the other hand, it'd be bloody boring if we all liked the same things, I've more of an axe to grind re. the antisocial revving the tits off yer bike and 3 a.m. Spartacus yellers.

Never really had a problem with it at the Lion.

Maybe we ain't big enough to attract that crowd, all we need now to do is get the old food selection back so Si doesn't need to send out for KFC

The only person told off for being a pratt on site with a bike this year was me for still hooning on a dirt bike when the punters had started to arrive, well it was better than the year i tried to offer a senior police officer a toke - dooh (well i actually tried to offer it to the regional rep but I hadn't noticed who he was chatting to about bikesafe)

if they were stoking the campfire all night it wouldnt be a problem. its when the fuckers take some perverse pleasure in waking the site up in the misguided belief that ,
a, its funny, and
b, no one has ever heard it before.
many folk work all week, and go to rallys to wind down. being woken in the middle of the fucking night by a tosser exploring the location of his rev limiter for a larf, isnt funny when youre still a bit pissed, and now tired and grumpy to boot.
this never happened in the past because more than 10 years back, a bikes rev limiter was the sound of the camshafts shoving the valves through the top of the pistons, followed by a seconds silence, then the sounds of a hundred half asleep drunks giggling into their sleeping bags. once again , technology has bitten us on the arse!!!!

Define wind down. After a week dealing with morons n idiots, I'd jump at the chance to piss off to a field, get lashed n look at others bikes talk bikes... you all know how it goes.

I think that's the point - of course I don't want to stop anyone having a good time, but that's what the marquee/pub/barn/wherever the entertainment's happening is there for. There's actually no need to be acting the twat on the campsite unless you really want to wind people up.
