Suicidal mopeds
So we have a lovely bright sunny morning here, and I almost fulfilled my greatest fear
Lots of cars (including mine) waiting to turn right, in a filter lane, lots of cars still iced up.
With mega bright sunlight visibility down to almost 0 behind.
Just as start to turn nearly get a young lad on a moped who is hammering down the outside FFS,
especially as straight ahead lane on left is totally clear. Nearly got it, clipping wing mirror
the look from the rider could have killed
heart pumping I move on…
thank goodness for that last moment lifesaver bit

trouble is that if there was a prang its one more statistic against two wheelers

ho de hum, on armaments strength coffee now

believe it or not, the lifesaver is not recommended when driving a car... got a bollocking for doing that on my ADI course.

yeah but the powers that be reckon it's a good idea to reverse down the wrong side of the road and reverse round the junction so you are in effect reversing into the wrong side of the road

or summat

gypsy can explain better

I cannot believe that manoeuvre is part of the driving test now....! It should be an illegal manoeuvre not a required one sheesh

(yep I used my dictionary :D )

tis called the right reverse round the corner.

minor road to the right, pull up on the right just pass the jnc.(therefore to start with already on the wrong side of the road)
then reverse around the corner into the minor road , going a full 6-8 car lenghs into the minor road keeping to the right hand side(the whole manover is done going in the wrong direction on the wrong side of the road)

I should think not! How can you possibly drive a car wearing an orange inflatable vest :)

Not sure what it is wiv them funky moped riders, they do seem to have a death wish, along with endangering our lives (and sanity) with it! Had one the other day, my man & me out for a chilly but bright poodle round on our bikes, when all of a sudden, buzzzzzzzzzzzz buz buz buzzzzz twist & go boy hunch over his handle bars cutting past me with inches to spare on my inside!!!! This was going through a busy high street, with cars parked either side!!!! He was then sidling up to my man, who luckily noticed and somehow managed to get 'speedy' to stop and gave him some 'friendly' advise, along with 'politely' asking him to 'get back behind thee' and don't do it again, ever! Tut.
