I was in me local corner shop this morning and who did I run into but.......Dennis Healey  I was gobsmacked because it's a crap shop!!!
According to the shop assistant he lives in Alfriston a mile up the road and is often in the shop.
Even weirder and honest to God this is true, his daughter was my primary school teacher for a year when I lived in London just before we moved abroad. I remember her because it was around 1967 and she wore the shortest mini skirts I have ever seen! It must be karma or sommat!
He's looking well old these days and has lost loads of weight.

i don't like to name drop but i will anyway :o back in '98 birmingham hosted the g7 summit. it was in the may i think, anyway it was a really warm friday afternoon so me and the missus took a ride into town for a couple of beers. there we were sitting outside this bar on brindley place when my wife looked over my shoulder and said casual as you like 'bill clintons behind you' i turned 'round and nearly choked on me ale for it was indeed the man himself on a walkabout and pressing the flesh. you can imagine the reaction i got in the pub that night when i said to my mates 'guess who i met today' :D
