You may laugh but scrap stainless steel is fetching £2000 a ton at the moment, so is scrap ali or there abouts.
The pykies round here have tried to break in at work at least three times this year already, as we have loads of scrap stainless!

I actuaaly worked it out that I could go into B&Q buy their 13mm copper tubing, take it straight round to the scrappie, and make a profit!

At the old brewery, they are replacing the stainless pipes at the mo and are giving the scrap away to whoevr supplies the skps......someones getting a good backhander
