I heard about this on the Jeremy Vine show on Radio 2 today, really fucked me off, with some peoples attitudes, one bloke rang in saying he didnt want them there cos they are not heroes they are Villains ??? not fighting legitimate wars ............... Just heard about this on Radio4, it turns out that none of the protesters could be bothered to turn up for the planning hearing.

(s'funny when that happens... I had all these so-called hostile witnesses when I was in court over the bike smash - none of them turned up! :D)

Near us is St. Dunstans - the biggest home for blind and partially sighted ex-service personel and it is a massive building overlooking the sea. Can you imagine back in 1937 when it was built, a bunch of nimbys trying to say they didn't want servicemen and women living near them... they'd be shot! :D
