Just parked up at the side of the road. Saw it was a bit harsh for the side stand so used the center stand.
The right side foot of the stand fell in a hole and toppled the bike over with me on top :o
Result ... Snapped r/h foot rest hanger
If anyone has one could they contact me asap please thanks.

as i posted on here not long back, i smashed the wheel on my trike in a pothole  phoned up birmigham council to try and get something done, and was basically laughed off the phone, these people are just tossers, and it would of cost more money than ive got to take em to court over it !
havent mag or the bmf got a bad road repair advice line or system in place for this kind of thing.
you take a pic of said bad bit of road and follow there advice/gidelines to claim i think.
sorry a bit vague but worth looking into.

As road safety officer for reading mag, basically if the council know of a defect and do not repair it withina "reasonable" timeperiod then they are liable if the defect cuses a crash etc. Therefore when people tell them of defects in a recorded manner (ie a call cenre where you ask for the incident report number or on a webform that gives a referencenumber) they tend to make it a priority as it might cost them. However if nobody tellls them they just laugh you off the phone.
Might be worth seeing if the local paper know of any other probs on that road

you ever tried contacting Birmingham city council, they either cant speak English, give you that many contradicting contact names/numbers that you get so bamboozled, you end up up going mad, it would be easier organizing a bike rally on the moon, than getting anything sorted out by them !!!
