.......I went out for a blat on Gertie.
Went to Paul's' sisters place.
In the village, about 500 yds up the lane, is Connington Church. When we left, Paul said to go and have a look. The last time he visited his sister, it was dusk as he left, and he turned round on the bike outside the church. He said the place gave him the creeps, coz it just dint feel right.
Now Paul aint into this paranormal stuff, but dont disbelieve either.
So, we go and turn round at the church.
Me being the 'crazy' one, parks Gertie up, gets off and goes into the church yard. Dint feel wierd, just a churchyard.
Where's the door......? No bloody door!
Found the door. At the far end, with no path to it. Just a door in the end of the church. Wierd.......
Not much else to see really, so we went back to the bikes.
Took some pics, and it was real peaceful. Dint think about it at the time, but later, we realised how quiet it was.
Pics of bikes came out top class.
Then the phone screen froze on saving the pic I was trying to take of the tower. Had to take the battery out to clear it.
That pic came out black.
And as I walked back to the gate to take some pics of the church, it got real breezy. Like enough to move the trees.
Then the phone took a pic of the gate, by itself. I swear to God, I never took that pic.
Could've been me I s'pose. But I'm sure it wasn't.
Whilst I was taking pics OUTSIDE the church wall, the light was great, but as soon as I moved towards the wall, or inside the wall, the light on the screen went dark.
Errrrr ok......
Then the battery on the phone drained even tho it was fully charged.
Took the battery out and put it back in again and i had 2 bars left.
Weird!
Took a pic of the upper frame of the gateway.
Was real dark and dusty up there, but the pic came out real bright and a very wierd light area. Could be the flash I suppose. never happened in paranormal pics before.
Strange.
And then a black cat sat under the tree just inside the gate. Just appeared from nowhere.Just sat there watching us, then tore off at rapid speed across the churchyard and behind the church. Could've been there all the time I guess, but we dint notice it. And we would've noticed it. Surely?
A black cat in a churchyard that feels somewhat 'creepy', the phone playing up, the light distortion on the phone screen, the sudden breeze when taking pics directly of the church, the light anomily in the archway.........
All these things can be exlpained.........maybe.
I have been on many paranormal vigils. Haunted pubs, houses, hotels, barns, garages and of course churches. But this place certainly had summat going on there.
Paul's sister said it's a known fact in the village that it's haunted.
I am gonna try to get up there one night. Just to see what's about.
Will **** meself, I always do. But it's a hell of a buzz when summat does happen.
But made an excellent backdrop for the bikes........ :D
