when riding a bike without the screen the G forces stretch your lips away from your teeth...the good point about this is that you always look like a happy biker, and with all the flies hitting your teeth, you don't have to stop to eat....the bad point is that with all the flies hitting your teeth you don't want to stop to eat... :p John

I prefer it, looks more in keeping with the 50's look of the bike.
You got a grett window on yer helmet anyway, you're safe from buuuugs..

I feel the same, I personally like any bike without the screen. I think it looks tons better, but then its not my bike, so if you like it back on

Leave it off, it looks better

Not one for screens myself. They always make a bike and its rider look a bit "aged american" if you know what I mean. Safe. Carefull. No street cred at all.
Having said that, the VN came with a screen. (It came right off too once I got it home.)
However, given the choice of with or without during a three week riding holiday a few thousand miles long, I can vouch for their usefulness. Predominantly against the very wind we all love to 'have in our hair' and the bugs in our teef. You can go further without tiredness and not suffer having a stressed neck like the jib on a tower crane when on long fast blats.
And this is Fayji people.
The guy who does more biking in one month than a lot do in a summer season. You want comfort on the long miles Fayji, you stick it back on.

Having it on is probably why he does so many miles. Think about it. Dont deny youve looked out the window at some time and saw it windy and pissing down and thought, 'well, it was only a small rally (or whatever), think i'll leave the bike in the shed and go down the pub instead with all the others.' ...............

(My screen by the way, is still in the shed gathering dust ever since I got back from that trip three years ago. But the brackets are still on the bars...........you never know.)
