Drink neat Vodka or gin, then drink plenty of water before you go to bed. Failing that, don't drink........
The colourants in Whisky, Brandy etc are oxidants that help to cause hangovers, that's why clear drinks are better. The best is 'GOOD' quality vodka that has been filtered several times. That way lots of impurities are removed.

Yep, I'll just confirm a few earlier suggestions if I may.

Drink the purest stuff you can afford, my own preference is Smirnoff Triple Distilled. Or a good quality malt, Highland Park does the job nicely.

If you must dilute the alcohol then it's gotta be brewus ironicus, Barr's Irn-Bru with the voddy or water with the malt.

Coke gives you the bad headaches and rots your teeth & stomach, not the alcohol that accompanied it last night.

If you drink lager, English ales, alcopoops, buckie :eek: then you deserve a lifelong hangover.

If you miss that, then a good fryup is the best way to shift it... The best fryup I had was an Ulster Fry in the Belfast Hilton - truely hit the spot!!

Ive always used Irn Bru for a hangover and it realy does work! (and Im not even scottish).
Just the other day I tried that alka-seltza crap and ended up chucking my guts up out the van window whilst still (trying) to drive through Daventry. :eek:
