just seen on ten o clock news how a woman in the states,has just got 26 months for letting 16 year olds drink at her sons birthday party in her own home.....the sentance was reduced after appeal...it was originally 8 years :confused: ......glad i dont live in the states.......and whe ,re on about letting real crims out early :mad:upto 1200 offenders :mad:by 18 days immediately and 25000 over the next 12 months......even though the goverment promised us 6 weeks ago this wouldnt be the case.!!!!!!!!!!!

you should know that this country rewards criminals and punishes those who stay within the law :mad:

Different countries have different laws...I think the USA has a not allowed to drink until you are 21 and kids are at school longer there...put into that perspective the 16 year olds there are 5 years too young to drink...meanwhile in France they can drink at 14...and due to our becoming part of Europe we are more in line with the French than the Americans... :rolleyes: John

only in england do hard working tax payers lock them self in at night csaird to go out,while scum roam the street with there civil rights.

It seems silly, but i suppose if the other kids parents didn't agree with their kids drinking alcohol there might be a point.

What i've never understood in this country is that at 16 you can leave home, leave school, go out to work, get married (with parents permission or go to scotland and get married without), have sex (and therefore children), yet you can't have a drink on your hen/stag night, or watch porn with your husband/wife!

Erm.......AND Scotland,Wales and N Ireland....... :rolleyes:
