First time i've been tugged on me bike for A Long Time.
On the bastard M6 up Carlisle way on Satdy.
Had seen him so slowed down to pass him, three of us, gave it a few miles, then assumed he'd stayed where he was got bored so I crept up to 80/85, bastard was bout two cars behind me.
Lectured me on showing his smashing motorway car some respect, didn't believe for one minute that i was who i said i was. Had no ID, said just show me a credit card, said i aint got one, says well how you gonna pay for fuel when you run out.
Err, i'll use money...
Didn't like it that i said i dont work, says well thats a very expensive motorbike. Said have you been drinking, nope, not since last night, (which actually ended at 7am) well you smell like you have. Gave me the old fashioned bag and crystals test, nothing.
Didn't half feel smug when he seemed to think he'd got me on anything that popped into me head, but was 100% legal.
Never spotted me hammer though, silly twat.

That was really unlucky Taff...especially as 85 is slower than most cars go on any motorway...slower than I go on most dual carriageways...He must have picked you as a good pull as you went past...I supose he did you for speeding..

I thought they were called Hardleys because they could hardly do the speed limit..... :D John

I can hear my wife calling me

And anyway I didn't post this it was Nik... :D

He PNC'd me, and found my address tallied up and that i was insured, licensed, MOT'd, and not wanted by the law.
Just got him suspicious when i had no ID of any form, and was vague about where i'd been and was going, and claimed not to work for a living.

Another finger to the so called law .... tw@s

Got pulled in my car today for defective back light ( .. working fully) they knew my name and address before i gave it to them .. went over the car like a rash ... found a folding seat i got from brands last year and asked if it has ever been used as a weapon ... then they confiscated it for evidence .... ffs it might have some beer on it and few ciggy burns ... will i get convicted for that?

All they see is a convict that has a bike licence ... I've met a few nice police but the rest of them can burn in hell.

I think there is a plod training school kinda thing up near carlisle (penrith but they are always on the M6) used to be a regular thing for bikes to be pulled up and the rider virtually strip searched by the side of the road.

That's exactly where i was as it happens, going to Penrith from Carlisle.

I was in a B&B near Carlisle on the 19th, on my way to the Simmer Dim. (Most B&Bs that way are full of blokes working on the M6-A74M link.)

A huge Irishman in the bar was telling me "Carlisle was full of enormous Hells Angels the other day."

He did look worried.
