COCKTAIL THATS SIMPLY SPROUT OF THIS WORLD

A COCKTAIL has been inventedwith a curious ingredient - Brussels Sprouts
Celebrity Chef James Martin devised the drink along with other reciepes to broaden the appeal of the much -maligned vegetable for a new TV series.
Those looking for a cocktail with a differencecould try the 'SPROUTINI'
The drink uses 8 small sprouts frozen to create ice cubes , added to 15ml of extra dry Vermouth and 75 ml of Gin.
To make the Brussels Hangover Smoothie, blend the following ingredients in a processor: 330grm of cooked sprouts, 160 grm of carrots, 1 teaspoonfull of ginger, 2 desert apples, 600ml of tomato juice and the juice of 1/2 an orange.
Sprout ice cream consists of: 250ml of double cream, 250ml of full fat milk, 4 egg yolks, 350grm of cooked carrots, 2 oranges and 250grm of sprouts.
The recipes will feature in a series called 'Sexing-Up' the Sprout on cable and satellite channel UKTV
