I`m sorry but I must be alone in thinking that theres a continuous recycling of older bands ........................ next you`ll be seeing Status Quo on the rally scene

not exactly insperational for the next generation of bikers

and the worst bit is, after reading the news is .................. I`ve just realised, I`ve ordered a ticket for STC

Pre-Book Ticket Sales
Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had difficulties with the printing and delivery of tickets. The cut off date has been extended to August 12th to alieviate some knock on problems that have arisen.
so you have an extra week to get sorted folks.

Damn right, and i for one am glad about it.
It's been tried, these are the latest thing, up and coming, they're gonna be big...
What they invariably are, is rowdy and boring, you can see folk sat with their backs to the new floor gazing indie band or heavy metal thrash merchants while they try and build beer glass towers to relieve their boredom.
The floor came alive at last years bash to Chaz'n'Dave, at teatime. after yer gallon of ale, you wanna hear summat you know and can wallop the table to, not this is gonna be our new single...
Rally organisers are finally accepting that the average age in the beer tent is 30/40, not 22, and i'm old, proud of it, and bloody glad to hear summat i can yorp along to.
Under me breath, while i try and look cool....

Couldnt agree more with Taffs comment, you want to see the latest bands go to a festival.
Chas n Dave where a laugh last years bully, Bully this year has the quo, now who can honestly say they aint going to go down well at a Biker do, we've had enough do's with bands covering their tunes?
Me Im looking forward to the Damned at the Bully aint seen them for years.
Who wants to hear new stuff that only a few have heard before? might be ok in the afternoon but not when your mullered and just wanna party. Looks to me like stormin has the right idea an all with the line up, party music

there's a fine line sometimes IMO ..... is all very good havin songs you know and all that .. but like at the end of last year I was sick to the back teeth of hearing the same fookin tunes THE WHOLE YEAR.. Sweet Home Alabama / Mustang Sally to mention just two ... I mean one rally, a 3 nighter .. 3 different "head line" acts for each night ... ALL OF THEM COVERED THE ABOVE ... pisses me off, its like a DJ with 5 records

Havin things like Chas n' Dave is both original and fun, a BRILLIANT call by someone that was, But if ya saw them at every event ... wouldn't belong before the building beer can towers begins again.

gotta try and keep it fresh, but original... no mean feat that

I know what your saying Jus, but there's a big difference between hearing mustang sally by Wilson Picket and hearing it covered by a rock covers band

Just saying that we are talking about the original artists

Would that happen to have been a certain 20th anniversary event in Scotland, Kiffer? :)
