I know it's not a bike... but then again, it's got the same size engine as most mini-motos.
I've got a Briggs and Stratton 35cc lawnmower and the choke mechanism has never worked all the time we've had it. I took the air filter off today to see why I couldn't get the damn thing going. It was sodden with oil (green stuff used in lawnmowers).
Under the air filter is the choke mechanism - a little 'l' shaped lever on two springs connected to the choke lever - same as on most old bikes - as in the 'up and down' sort (not the cable type). There is no tension in either of the springs and even by moving the lever, nothing at all happens.
Do you reckon it would be a pretty straight forward job to put a choke cable on it and work it that way?
In the meantime, it's back to the electric! :(
