Stiff again.
Wednesday induction + tae kwon do
Thursday stiff as hell so swam 20 lengths
Friday 25 lengths in the pool
Saturday out all day walking around national trust house with kids.
Sunday rested.
Monday forgot trainers and had to swim did 40 lengths
Tuesday swam because i had interviews and little time.
Wednesday 1 hour cardio workout, 10 lengths of the pool, 1 hour brisk walk with the dog and 1.5 hours of tae kwon do.
today will be a long walk with the dog and either a swim or some light cardio.
I have supplemented this with loads of fruit , water and veg. Low carbs and low fat and cut out the booze for a few weeks. I feel alot better , much more awake and alot more energy. I am actually sleeping better at night and the inital bloat has gone right down.
In terms of heart rate, the recovery rate of my heart is noticably quicker than when I started all this a week ago and is very encouraging. I'll weigh myself after 4 weeks of training. in 10 days time I will get one of the trainers to reassess my regime and devize something to work more on the fitness than the fat burning and see how we go.

Gott in Himmel! The whole forum is on a health kick, we'll all be discussing the merits of quinoa and seaweed bake next :D
I wouldn't go that far........
Giving up smoking was traumatic enough........... :D
so what has week 2 brought?
Thursday - Rest day
Friday - Rest day
Saturday - 30 minutes of swimming with my youngest i.e playing sea tutles and generally lobbing her about. - 20 lengths of the pool - afternoon spent walking around a forest with youngest on shoulders (3 stone).
Sunday - Spread father-in-laws ashes and got pissed
Monday - 1 hour cardio - 20 lengths of pool
Tuesday - 1.5 hour cardio - 20 lengths of pool - 20 minutes in sauna and nearly bloody passed out!
Wednesday 1 hour cardio - no swim cos some sod nicked my swimming hat (gay I know but compulsory) and goggles. Gym were good enough to replace them gratis! Ended up having a few beers with Mr Samson as he was in the area .. very pleasent indeed. Or, then had fish and chips...and crisps with the beer.
So how do I feel? Most immediately the over hang has reduced substantially, 38" waist jeans are not longer yearning to be 40". My posture seems to have improved as the muscles are trying to hold me up again. Appetite is raging and i'm struggling not to eat carbs every 5 minutes but I do have loads and loads of energy!
Now all I have to do is get a job and i'm laughing :o sorry if i'm boring you all with these updates, but they are a good record for me so fuck ya! :D

Back was playing up and then Nik came over so I had double the excuse:D to be fair though I am deliberately taking it easy. Everytime I have gone back to excersise or Martials arts after a break I have injured myself by trying to prove I can do it! Not this time, I am being sensible. ...well sort of :D
Cos slob and meself are on a joint venture I thought I'd make an effort as well.
Last week.
Monday - got up and sorted out shorts and trainers for running.
Tuesday - tried them on.
Wednesday - cramp from tying my own laces finally goes away.
Thursday - pulled muscle opening bottle of Old peculiar so leave running until tomorrow.
Friday - Kids fall about on floor at sight of me in shorts, Ruth gives me a look that says 'dont let the neighbours see you like that!'
Saturday - get up really early and ride FJ to isolated spot to start running, enjoy the ride so much end up in Brighton and its time to head back (via pub)
Sunday - day of rest listed on my new exercise rota

Yeah, I always think I was better than I was when i've had a break :) ... though to be honest I've had a break from Martial Arts for about 17years and fitness about 10 years ... need to get back into it ..... mate o mine got on his bandit12, loose moment shot down road with cold tyres ... got off it about 60mph... I'm standing there watching and just thinking ... oooh Cold"fookmehe'soff"Tyres so
as he was in air I was Sprinting .. ran past him and picked up bike (of course) telling neighbour with mobile phone we dont need ambulance ( its my experience as we are now older, if you can scream OW OW MY FOOKIN FOOT you can scream GET ME A FOOKIN AMBULANCE :D ...
anyhow .. I sprinted there picked bike up went over to him .. he's ok .. another of us with him now .. i'll push bike back to garage ...
WELL let me tell you .. I WAS FOOKED for doing that .... nearly killed me !!!
must must must sort that out ....
where's me fags and pint and i'll think about it a little more ...... Hmmmmmmm

well done indeedy slob. just mind you dont cut down carbs too much cos you need them to sustain all the energy your burning up.
BTW if you dont mind me asking what age bracket are you? There is a genuine reason I ask and it's because I'm very worried about my hub at the moment. His muscles seems to be wasting away. He's lost about 2 stone without trying, is eating normally but everytime I seem him, he seems to have shrunk a bit more - he wont go to docs no matter how hard i've tried.

i'm 31... with your hub I would recommend a thyroid test . \Overactive thyroid is a pretty common cause of rapid weightloss and body wasteage (not a doctor , know a coupkle of sufferers)

Thanks slob, I thought about that too but he is tired all the time and overactive thyroid would make him energetic - wouldnt it?

I like quinoa :) not sure about seaweed stuff (never had it, when I think of seaweed I think of sand and sewage) uurrgghhhh
I think you are all doing really well, I haven't been to the gym for 3 weeks, and I'm still losing weight, OK So suffering at work does have a positive to it.

I take ginseng everyday, swear by it. Gives you a good kick start in the mornings
I've lost almost a ston in three bastard weeks thru not eating like i normally do, or hitting the weights as much. Usually eat like a fkin horse but aint had no appetite with stuff that's been going on, but it's done now, gotta kick meself back into touch. Once i start i get focused, read obsessive, so reckon can wallop it back on in a fotneet.

You have been going the mill buddy and it's bound to have an affect. Hope you feel better soon. :)

Realistically about 12 and half/13 stone, according to the charts 11 and half but i'd look like a fúcking biafran.
I drop weight so quickly because i eat pretty often to keep it on, and neck raw eggs in milk when i don't feel like eating, if i dont do either i lose weight and muscle, cos the protein from the food's the fuel to build it. Take steroids every few months so me body can process more protein and put more weight and size on.
Last few weeks i aint eaten and aint trained, so me body's had no bricks and no brickies, so no walls got built. Only gone down to 15 stone, which i can live with at 5'8". Like to be 15 and half edging 16 tho.

i remeber the old man used to do the egg an milk drink.. not my cup of tea. Once I get the weight off i'll grab some lifting tips off you.
