Well i have decided to make my own chrimbo decs this year
so should i laquer or varnish sprouts before threading and hanging them? :confused:

Just drink the lacquer and the varnish,ye won't care about Chrimbo.You may have a horrible death,but you'll have a lovely finish!

Varnish for your nails and laquer for your knackers, Dahling!
Seriously now......my old Dad had a pair of sandals (don't even 'kin start) and as they wore out, he used to varnish them with Yacht varnish, they were indestructable I tell ya, he's probably gonna hand them 'kers down to me when he takes the 6 foot nap.
i think the best way is to use PVA glue
tis cheap
will prevent rot
and still makes em look pretty and shiny
could even add glitter when the glue is still tacky
