So, to blaspheme even more against Harley purists - I am looking for a set of bar end weights for the Night Rod.

Good 'Ol Harley have stuffed me up though - what they didn't say on the 'Megafactories' documentary is that everything created 'new' for the V-Rod is metric... anything they just used existing HD parts for is Imperial.

Which includes the bars... so I am hunting either for a set of bar end weights to go into 1" bars - I've seen these on Drag Stars but don't fancy paying Yamaha OE prices!... or some way of fitting regular bar end weights into a 1" bar end (that doesn't involve cutting the ends off the bars and welding on 7/8" section).

Mine are plastic caps (Dragstar 650) about £7 each...

Have you asked JWmotorcycles.com ?No reply from them... and I am looking for something with a bit of weight to stop the front end flapping about when I nail it out of the corners (steering damper is next on the list I suppose...)

i am looking into it.
are the bars hollow at the ends? i.e. no welded in threaded fittings as such?
