I have a problem. I'm into bikes in a big way and have a chop project on the go. I also play the drums and really keen to get back into it. There are pros and cons for both, but I need your help to decide, fellow forumites!
If I choose drumming I'll still be logging on for the informative chats etc.
On the bike front, I can't see my 'bike' getting on the road soon as I really don't have the time.
Drumming could earn me some money.....

You can see where I'm going with this!!

HELP ME!!!!!

Go for the drumming, earn money, then you can get the bike done in your spare time.and if you get famous as a drummer, you can pay someone to finish your project off for you. :D

Get some leccytronic drums then you can carry them on the chop.Mind you they are a bit 'eighties'!

Had the same problem, but with a large bass rig.
I went bass - same reason as mentioned - got some dosh and built a trike - storage room, plus it can tow a trailer.
Also it looks cool as F*c* turning up at a gig :D
The modern electronic kits are great, especially the Yamaha one (plus that has a connection with bikes - same company), downsides are:
1. They don't "move air" like acoustic ones, and for the other players, sometimes onstage the feel of the kit is all you've got.
2. Unless you're using big P.A. setups, you're going to need two monitor systems so everyone can hear the drums.
3. They look ****e.

Bikes are the only thing in life everything else is just nonsense in comparison. Dont even think about selling the bike. (What sort of bike is it and how much do you want for it? ;) )

Z750L4 motor, GPZ900R running gear, hardtail frame with integral mudgaurd and twin cap mustang tank.
Just needs putting together!
Owes me about £650 the lot.
Open to sensible offers.

Sell the chop cos you ain't never gonna finish it (I know, I got projects too!) and use the cash to buy something you can ride NOW!

Then you won't think about drumming any more....

:D
