All complaints on my actions can be posted to cyberfruits@yahoo.co.uk
I havent banned him as i would like to know how the other moderators want to act on this.
I hoped the bloke was genuine because anyone that uses summat like he has to scam money needs putting down but after questions and likes from people (maybe some could have been worded better) he seems reluctant to prove his case nad that is his job, no one elses.
Anyway, feedback would be good after the debacle i had to go through with the last thread i locked..
GBR, I with you on this one, unless he comes good, which I doubt, but thenm I was never against you, just dont always agree. :D
Lock them all, let god sort it out. :eek:

Well he deffo is'nt english is he lets be honest. But that's not my gripe with him. He has obviously read posts on here and other forums, of genuine cases and he thought he could jump on the band wagon. Must thing we are all stupid.
Anyway best thing to lock the thread. It will be a lesson to others who think they can con good natured people. You get my vote Rob and just for the record, I was with you ont he last one too. The forum should'nt have been used for a slanging match between two people from another club, they could use their own forum for that. :cool:

Well, from my point of view, I gave him the benefit of the doubt based on info in a PM from him.
I offered a way out, by putting LATCH into the equation (a charity I personally have a lot of time for) but the insults and threats are getting too much.
My gut feeling is that someone trying to scam would have given up by now, BUT cyberfruits keeps coming back.
With all that in mind, I support Rob on locking the thread and if there are any more threats (veiled or otherwise) then it's a ban.

I agree the thread should be locked. None of the info i found via his email addy makes sense.
I agree with you 100% Rob,
No-one should suffer as Chev and Leah have, especially a child.
If I were this guy, and I was genuine, and I had taken the flack as he has, I would be spitting feathers by now.
I have apologised for my reaction if I was wrong, but as woth others on this forum, I dont feel I was.
Time will tell I guess........... :)

This person's first post on here and BW was the same request for support and donations. People rightly asked questions and he got all indignant and then insulting. Not once has he tried to put things right and give people more reason to trust him. If he was genuine he should have remembered he was asking something of us - he wanted the favour.
Could you imagine the Sally Army calling everyone f*cking idiots if they didn't buy their Warcry?

good call rob. i slated the fucker on bikersweb for the same thing, got ****ty pm's from the bloke and all, but still no proof that he is genuine. it may be a gen case, but im doubting this more and more. my main comment was that a search of google brings up that cyberfruits is a dodgy character who runs a fruit machine buisness and also an escort agency /brothel, with many ads on many forums advertizing sex services for money, or looking for girls/women to come and work in his/her camarthenshire brothel/massage parlour. cyberfruits real name is john cooper as far as i can make out, and so it would seem that although all the adverts for cyberfruits services are from women, they use his email addy, i can only assume that he is acting as a pimp and selling their services in return for a cut of what they take. googling his name will bring up his postcode and even an aerial picture of the rather palatial looking farm on which he lives a few miles outside swansea.
regardless of what he does for a living, if this was a legit story, im sure we could have done something to help. he sent me a pm on bikersweb accusing me of linking the story of the kid to his sex industry work, and claiming he had made no such link, i was therefore twisting the story in order to get at him. however he couldnt answer my point that all the requests for money through nochex used his buisness account, so basically you were being asked to donate money to a charitable trust by giving it, no questions asked, to a brothel keeper and pimp!!!
i suspect that he didnt expect us to look into his identity, and being thick biker types, to all just chuck some cash at him, so he could fill hus subaru with lpg (amazing how much detail google will give about someone isnt it) and go out to check out his ho's !! :D

I spoke with the man yesterday. He pm'd me his mobile number on request. If you refer to the original request he had stated in BOLD that a visit would be good or, bikes parked outside the window of the boys hospital Window would be fine... then he mentioned donations etc (not unlike other requests on here).
I am waiting for him to email me an address where I can send some bike paraphenalia to, he did tell me to send stuff straight to the oncololgy ward. Needless to say he's a bit disillusioned with the reaction. As he rightly points out wtf has his private business got to do with his son's illness. By his own admission it could have been worded better but hey.. like I said earlier "Salem witch trials"

Slob, i locked the thread because it was going nowhere as people were posting stuff that wasnt needed, that includes cyberfruits.
You'll also find that i asked him questions etc etc and hoped is kid was ok if it was true. I also had PM's from him which i answered straight and honest.
The bloke could have introduced himself better, his post was out of time and place even if true and his history and use of name was ill advised.
You cant blame people for being suspicious of a stranger. Maybe the witch hunt was a bit OTT but times have been bad for a lot of people lately and maybe it just hit a raw nerve.
In defence of Cyberfruits he was provoked into some of his reactions but this is why i have locked the entire thread.
Cyberfruits its more than welcome to join in, introduce himself and maybe start from scratch but i'll be honest, his first post did look bloody suspicious.

The difference is, Slob, that you are known here. If you posted something on a brand new forum where you aren't known, I'm sure you would have responded differently to requests for more information and not called people "f*cking idiots".
I think the people here were cautious rather than malicious and have offered Cyberfruits the chance to set the record straight and start afresh, but the insults keep coming.

Anyhoo, what John decides to do from here on in is his look out. Rob's got a job to do I do appreciate that, I also appreciate the timing. 'nuff said?
BTW I was being wholly sarcastic in my final words of the last post, I have received nothing but support from this forum and I know we're not all sh1ts. I would only ask that we are perhaps a bit more cautious in future. :rolleyes:

do you think? if you google cyberfruits and his email address, you will come across page after page of posts on forums, from classified ads to sex services/ massage/escort/ swinging/sex parties also requests for someone to come and work as a receptionist, and even a request for someone with legal training to come and work for him for nothing. these posts go back a few years. ive no doubt that he knows exactly how the web and its many forums work.
besides, my original objection was that he had set up a supposed charitable trust for this so called kid, yet he was asking for nochex donations to be paid into his own nochex buisness account, assumably the one he uses for his 'other' buisness activities. what he does for a living doesnt really have any other bearing on anything, but to ask for money on a first posting, and not to make any attempt to keep any money 'at arms length' from his other activities is in my mind, taking the piss. also the thought occurs to me that if his nochex account has money paid into it from many of his 'buisness' activities, and then he sets up a charitable trust. its possible he could even use it to clean other money AND claim tax relief on it. not saying he has or would, but he could. in all things charitable, the golden rule is open, honest and clear, and this wasnt .
