Police plea after teenage biker dies Mar 26 2007
by Dayle Crutchlow
SHOCKED friends and neighbours have left piles of floral tributes after a 17-year-old was killed apparently riding a stolen a motorbike.
The Coventry Telegraph reported on Saturday how the teenager had been killed in the crash at the junction of Winston Avenue and Broad Park Road, in Wood End, Coventry, on Friday afternoon.
But police have now revealed that - as the teenager lay dying - four other youths moved the bike and his crash helmet from the scene and hid them in nearby buildings.
Officers have now issued a direct appeal to the four youths to come forward.
They are also trying to trace witnesses to the crash, which happened at around 2.20pm.
Served the cnut right.
Always sad when a kid dies, but I have to agree with you Stevie.
As my fave t-shirt says 'Happiness is.................a dead bike thief!'

I understand what you mean Juke, an' I'd be mortified if it was my kid but then my kids know a damn sight better than that. Shame he didn't run his mates down when he crashed.
Some poor bastard lost his bike, some thieving kid lost his life.
Guess there is a little justice in this world after all eh?

It's not like it happens very often Juke .... justice that is.
After Gypsy an' Summer's trike got nicked an' the cops caught the bastard I took my eldest daughter Katie to the thief's trial at Winchester Crown Court so as she would see what happens if you nick stuff. Bloody complete waste of time. All they did was put the trial off until October last year an' tell him that if he didn't get caught for anutha crime in the meantime he would not face any charges, includin' the ones for the trike theft.
Never bothered goin' back in October 'cos I didn't want to sit there an' get pissed off all over again.
bring back the stocks and birching...that'll learn em:(
This is injustice for ya..................
Mike, a 21yr old guy, riding his bike to work one morning, within the speed limit, was killed by a twatish 20yr old who did a u-turn out of a layby without looking.
Mike died on the side of the road.
The car driver went to court and got 6 points on his licence, and a £490 fine!
Dint even lose his driving ticket!....................
Caused death by driving without due care and attention and walked free!
What a fukkin' joke huh?
The life of a bikler is worth fukk all!...............apparently.

The courts seem to think we all ride like twats and aren't worth bothering with which really p1sses me off. If it had been a pedestrian or a cyclist i bet he would have got more.

Which is why I am more inclined to think that random acts of extreme violence are much more satisfying than taking them to court - that is to say if we are still able to stand after said cnut has run over us

Don't trust the courts.
As to the bike thief ,tough.
He wouldn't give a toss if he had caused a fatal.
Good riddance

i can only hope the bastard died very very slowly and very very painfuly. young man or old gezzer if you nick some poor persons bike/trike then death should be the only punishment, if you do happen to get of lightly then your punishment should be, both your arms chopped off at the shoulders and your forehead inked explaining why you lost your arms. theiving little bastard got what he deserved as far as i`m concerned.

You're a heartless lot of bastards...Two months ago my son Andrew had his exhaust pinched off his scooter, the next day he rode to work on it and halfway there the engine siezed..so he locked the scooter and left it chained to a streetlight...when I picked him up after work it had been nicked...after reading this thread, we had a picture of the thief taking his bike to Coventry, spending a fortune and weeks getting it going, and on his first ride getting killed...now thats funny... :D John
