Well i flogged me old kwacker dirt bike the other day. Flogged it for 500 quid cause i needed some new tyres on me trumpet and needed to pay for me new North Face McMurdo Parka that i'd used Dawns credit card for
I felt a bit pissed off though as i hadnt really got a toy to play with (on the bike front that is).
Well, i sure as **** have now :D
Its a 1977 suzuki TS250. Got it dirt cheap so me old KL has payed for another bike, tyres for me triumph and a bloody great arctic parka. Not a bad deal :D

The bike goes like the clappers. The frame has been powder coated etc etc. The seat and tank are wrong but thats ok, the bike is a sound base for a project and it has all the documentation and even an MOT.
Sorted!!!!
Nice, great bike and worth money if done up, a 1977 one went for £755 on ebay last month.

Yes mate, very similar apart from this is a Suzuki and 2 stroke. Lots of screaming fun :D I've seriously got a thing for me old trailies. I love me Triumphs without a doubt but i do love the old trailies from the 70's. God only knows how many ive had up to now but i know i can take them apart with me eyes closed as they are all so similar.
Im doing this one up to keep Pyro. Dont suppose i'll do it standard though as i actually like to use them if you know what i mean. I'll make it a proper dirt bike :D
Hahahahaha! Nah Stevie, no matt black paint here mate, ive got a polishing fetish.
Hey John, get the XL mate, we can start a team and do classic enduro's. Now that would be a laugh :D
Anyway, been looking on Bikepics website and found this.

i had a ts 185, and couldnt fucking break it, i thrashed it without any mercy for 2 years, every day, solo , 2 up, touring, camping, motorways, held 85 mph 2 up for over 200 straight miles, ran it off road, fell off it, learned to pull wheelies. and didnt do anything but put oil and fuel in it and a pair of tyres and some brake shoes. when i gave it away, it had as much compression as when i got it, absolutely mind bogglingly brilliant bike. one of ony 3 bike that i wish i had never got rid of, the others being, an sp400 and a gt200 X5. bloody wonderful machines, so the 250 should be the same but better!!!!! :D

Cheers Yoda, i'll think your idea over :D
Had a snout Grav but dont seem to be much there, more for the later TSX.
Anyway, picked bike up. Mixed feelings.
Theres no wiring at all apart from a kill switch. Not a bad thing cause im thinking of doing it as basically a road registered RM now instead (lazy as the RM was the MX version).
The gear stick is welded on which im not overly chuffed about but its not a disaster, just a bit of a pain if i had to strip the crank cases.
Its got new chain and sprockets which is good and the tyres look newish to.
It was smokey as hell when i got it. Would have run a mile if it had been a 4 stroke but it only takes summat silly to make a 2 stroke burn a bit to much oil. Had a nose and lets just say someone went a bit over the top on the air filtration and ballsed the mixture up to. Bit of stripping out of sponge and crap and a few twists and turns with the screwdriver and its running peachy. Bot of a chatter top end but its an air cooled 31 year old dirt bike, there all like that mister.
Anyway, got it cheap and its a project for a bit of fun. Cant complain at all really, just not the great bargain i expected, more of an alrightish bargain. :D
