Police in Devon and Cornwall are targeting motorcyclists who use illegal or illegible licence plates.
The operation, which is taking place through December, is part of efforts to cut the number of bikers killed.
how??? big airbag plates that inflate on impact???? :D

oops looks like i got a go faster number plate, but a larger one would just make my bike too slow, is it the drag factor (and i don't mean cross dressing)?
Guess i will get full use of my mirrors this december!

hmm like the bit about plate tampering, i always thought you could mount the plate anywhere as long as it was on the back of the bike

We had a un authorised cruise in the centre of town last month, police did nothing about it, and if this is the case (In Cornwall, 25% of all fatal road accidents in the county involve motorbikes.) are they gonna do summut about the other 75%? i think not

My thoughts exactly :D Oh my God Mitch, I'm never riding again *sob* my small number plate tried to kill me *heave*.
If I get a full size 'plate can I go as fast as I like then in the knowledge I'm safer?

In Cornwall, 25% of all fatal road accidents in the county involve motorbikes.
And as usual, they don't say how many of that 25% are caused by blind car drivers or the ones who don't see cos they can't be bothered to look.......

Just more of the usual bollox then.
Oi Mr Plod, get out there an' catch REAL villans. A week last Friday we had five police motorcyclists and the camera van futher up the road from where I live. The same day (and can you believe it, the day before too) my neighbours garage was broken in to.
Go get them speeders guys. Crucify those with small numberplates (I do see more cars with illegible letterin' than bikes tho).
Actually, why don't you just sit in ya feckin' office with ya sticky buns an' coffee doin' the Sun crossword.
CNUTS !!

FECK IT !! I'm still pi55ed off about this
****RANT MODE/ON****
Sorry boys in blue. I forgot, you have to see the villans in the act of breakin' in (this was actually said to me by an off duty police officer who didn't know that I knew they were plod) don'tcha, otherwise you may have to do some detective work.
Whereas, we're easy targets.
So it's lots of locks, bolts an' a couple of alarms (one soundin' in the house) on tha garage an' a trusty 'Pete Rose' by the side of the bed to take out with me.
FCUK YOU !! - I'll do me own detectin' from now on.

This sort of victimisation gets right up my feckin nose !!!!!
Little 17 year old boy racer in his sodding Nova (God, I hate Novas !!!! ) 47 black & 16 orange screws, stratically placed within the numbers of his plate and he can make whatever letters he wants.
We add a border, a slogan & reduce the size of the plate slightly and we're more threat to ourselves than Ian Feckin Huntley !!!!!

Up at one of the local garages, there's a Devon and Cornwall constabulary Pan European with a smashed back end, got hit by a driver who said " i didn't see it" despite it having a large copper on it in fluerescent coat, and ALL the lights on (inc the blue flashing one) i'd loved to have been there to see that one :D

WELL!!!!!! We can't have a feckin' courtesy car from the insurance company because the arsehole-wanker whose total fault it was knocking Mitch off his bike has decided to contest the claim despite the fact he hasn't a leg to stand on. So Mrs R must go to feckin' uni on the sodding bus every day now as Mitch needs the car!!!!!
Other guy mows down an innocent motorcyclist, police and insurance bods don't give a toss - I'm feckin' furious, the other guy knows we won't get car if he contests the claim but he's ok in his car all winter while I freeze me arse off at bus stops!!!!
I will be posting his name and address on here in due course, please feel free to send him rats, sh1t, bodily secretions of your choice in the post - thank you very much :)
