Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend someone who makes really good quality leather waistcoats / cut-offs.

All the ready mades seem a bit crappy now. My last one is falling apart after years of service!

Cheers

MrC :)

I've got my jacket & jeans from this lot

http://www.dobbsleathers.co.uk/

They make the stuff so if you go see them and get measured I'm sure they can sort you out.

Brilliant place. My son bought an ex-racing leather one piece. Very thick leather, none of the £500 wafer thin jobies, at only £250. At this price, they would also have altered it if it didn't fit. When he'd finished with it, he sold it to a mate, who was then knocked off his bike, slid across two carriageways and hit some bollards. Result (apart from written-off Gsxr-600) a few bruises and a ripped back muscle.
Dobbs are the best in Northampton and will hand build anything to your specs in leather.

Hi,

Agreed they (Dobbs) sound fantastic, but unfortunately I am in York (152 miles away) :(

They say on their website that they will only make one-offs for people that they measure up themselves in person, otherwise I would be getting them to make me a waistcoat without any doubt.

Many thanks for the info though.
