anybody had one,ive got one tomorrow as the quack got me an emergency appointment coz the pins n needles have spread to the left side of me ead :(
Yep. Tis a doddle mate and they will know whats up with you almost instantly. They may even find your braincell.

Ive had afew, you just have to lie still in a kind of tunnel whilst it makes abit of noise, bit claustraphobic at first but not that bad. Some places let you take a CD in with you so they play you some music, takes your mind off it. Good luck.

yeah, just a tip, if you open your eyes and find that youre in a dark tunnel, ffs dont get up and run towards the light!!!

Had a CT scan which is similar - the result came back as "clear" - I still don't know whether that is clear of nasties or clear of braincells!
I have had one of them as well. :D

Technically = 'Magnetic Resonance Imaging', which means there are no X-rays or nasty radioactive stuff to be put in / through your body, no needles - you just lay on the table, the table slides into the aforementioned tunnel and all is revealed.
Looks like this - I've seen a lot of those over the last few years with the Mums' hospital visits...

Iv'e had 4, depending where you have it done they ask what kind of music you like.
I found it quite relaxing.

I didn't get music in mine but the drone of the machine was a bit like a sportster at cruising speed, very comforting
