just a thought that came into me head. if you brought a helmet and it had a european safty mark in it but not a british kite mark, would it still be legal in britain?

I think that as long as you purchase it outside UK it is legal - same goes for Yank one's.

i care becouse i want one of those german army style ones for when i`m out on the chop, but can`t find one that`s up to british standards.

as long as its got an eu safety e mark its ok
but ive not heard of a jerry lid that does.........

If it has the correct EU mark it is fine over here.
I have never seen one of those that you talk of with an EU mark on it.
They are generally sold as novelty helmets only.
