I`ve just been reading the local rag and it says a group of travelers have taken over a sssi site and within hours had erected a 8 foot fence and put down hardstandings and a bloody sign saying ken Moore park, cheeky bastids. Hows that for efficiancy North somerset council beat that pmsl

Aye,but foxes don't shoot back!Couple months ago 2 or 3 square miles of Embra were sealed off by armed Feds as a couple of 'Traveller' families (about 50-60 in each) had a disagreement and started shooting at each other.It was like the OK Corral.Of course,nobody got charged with anything,"they're an ethnic minority,it's just their way",AYE RIGHT! The whole operation musta cost Joe Taxpayer an arm and a leg,the feds had 24 hour helicopter cover,fair reminded me of my days in Belfast!

Funny! Back in the day when backpatchers were dividing their territories, turf wars and shoot outs were not uncommon. They didn't say, well it's just their way etc. Same with black-on-black shootings, which is the norm in the Carribean, in fact they now have special squads to help prevent them. Gypos should either live by the rules or outside them. They don't want to be part of society, but they want to sign on, use the hospitals etc. Ban all offroad camping except on authorised sites, with toilets, running water etc. Deposit to be paid in advance to cover damage, rubbish clearance etc. Returnable if site left clean and tidy.

Just sold mi house and bought a narrow boat to live with no postal address so in effect i will be a traveler does anybody know where i can get an huntin exemption certificate ???

theres 2 sites like that on the a38 over thornbury way the gippo's just put up walls and a few buildings been there for a couple of years and the councils only just noticed it, some gippos moved onto a piece of land by a friends house and within minuted the local council and police were doing a door to door telling the resident not to start any trouble or they would be charged,never mind the gippos theiving from the locals sheds thts ok

won't banning camping affect our fun?

True, but aren't bikers a minority too, can't we be a race. That way we could do what the feck we like and screw the law. Off road camping law would only apply to caravans, that way it would keep some of the mobile road blocks out of harms way.

Yes I know they park up and leave a mess, SOME are thieving scum, but surely not all? Are we not in danger here of tarring all with the same brush and being predjudice against a whole group of people who are just trying to live their lives as they choose, just like you and I?
Do not a lot of folk hate them because they buck the system, like bikers do, they live by their own rules ... as bikers try to do, they have their own culture and hierarchy... as we do....
Do not folk resent their freedom to come and go as they please and not to pay? But wouldnt you?
Have the majority of those condemning them ever spoken/met etc or spent any time finding out what these people are REALLY like/
I know they can cause ****, their kids and teenagers cause havoc at times but there is a hell of a lot more to their society than most know or care about.
I know some gypsies or 'tinkers' as they are called, and they are great people,please do not throw them all in together, they are individuals as we are.
