do any one out there know what jets to use on a gsx 750 1980 model if i fit K & N filters hope someone out ther can help

Dougie thanks mate i am just trying to find out what size jets to use so i dont have to go throught the crap of trying loeds of the little buggers

Depends also on the type of exhausts you use its not just limited to the carbs, its a case of try it and see usually. Its all a balance of air/fuel mix and the exhausts play a big part on this.

As a rough rule of thumb, when replacing standard airbox with K & Ns with an aftermarket exhaust system an increase in MAIN jet size of approx 11% is adequate.

Also,remove the breather tubes which lessens turbulence in the float bowls (so I'm told) and raise the needles by one notch.

If you take it to some dyno places they have loads of jets and will play until they find the best setup. You will have to pay for the dyno time tho. Seastars nr Norwich do this. They may know others, or try people who set up race bikes.
