Me and Mitch went to the movies this evening and thought we were ok parking as it was late evening - came back and the f*****s had clamped the car :mad:£90 release fee.
I knew we wouldn't get off because it's pay and appeal only but we thought we'd make them feel like shyte if anything to make ourselves feel better.
I got me "NHS staff visiting patient" permit out and stuck it on windscreen, tied me hair back and did coat up and told them when they arrived they'd clamped the district nurse! Then spun them sob story about having to pay clamping fees out of my own salary as NHS don't cover it etc etc and asked them how they would feel if it was their old mum I was visiting that night.
By the time I had finished with the bastards they were an inch high and crawling away like worms - how we laughed :)
Didn't get us off the fine but me and Mitch sure felt a whole lot better!:)
Maybe they'll feel like getting proper jobs now instead of being parasites!

What fecked me off was that I had my 'press' card in my wallet (OK, it's my newspaper ID card and it's got the name of the paper on it) - I could have tried waving that at them - D'oh!! Worked before...

Oh well, let's see what the news editor's got to say on Monday ;)

A couple of bike chains I have are the leftover strune around the road after someones cut the clamp off...

bit of advice DONT angle grind clamp off, i got done for doin that, criminal damage, £250 fine and criminal record, :eek:

what about takin a leaf out o the french book if we all carry super glue
every time wee see a wheel clamp a few wee drops on the lock after time they will give up clamping well ya live in hope , or moveup aside us were we dont have clamping , only if the vech is on the road without tax :D

how about pay the clampers, as soon as they take the clamp off a couple of your mates come around the corner, kick s**t out of them. you get your money back and as far as the clampers are concerned it was a muggin. :rolleyes:

Yeah! As far as I know you are allowed to remove the clamp and drive away, but you must not damage the clamp in anyway...A couple of lads in Brum had their car clamped..One of them phoned a mate, the mate came to their rescue...He brought with him a trolly jack and spanners, etc..They droped the wheel suspenssion, drive halfshaft or whatever took the clamp off. Then after everything was back in place they gave it to the clamper guys and drove off :D :D
