SR500 chop and z650 monoshock for sale

Okay peeps,Phil needs a new vmax (before his missus divorces/does him serious injury with a blunt heavy kitchen utensil!) fund needs a BIG boost

so I have for sale
1978 T reg SR500 engined hardtail chop,purpose built frame,low tunnel sportster tank Lucas (bates lookalike) headlamp,forward controls,4 inch overlength slugged forks,arrowhead style dual seat,moulded sidepanels (not stainless screw ons),three prong sissybar (very 80's)sleekbob rear mudguard,side mounted rearlight/numberplate,all in black (obviously!)
£500 ono
and
1984 A reg Z650 british racing green paint,gpz900r front end,bellypan,original bodywork,monoshock fireblade conversion,inc rear wheel showa rear shock,cats eye rear light.
this one's complete,real nice looker BUT driving me MAAAD!! as I can't get the bloody thing to run .MOT til April 05. as I like the price £500 ono

also I got some spares for Z650,anything you want just ask!

z problems!!
checked cam to crank timing,ignition timing (got boyer bransden electronic system fitted),threw away cv carbs fitted original slide carbs,after a clean out,haven't checked float heights etc or compression,have had it running for about 20 secs but no longer....shame really as it's a sweet bike and I WOULD keep it otherwise,but it's p.....d me off now so someone else can have it for a cheap price!

i'm just wondering does the sr chop frame have a short length of box section added to the top tube and the other end has the upper hardtail tubes welded to it.
just that i built a hardtail sr500 for someone about 15 years ago .

check the timing isn't 180* out, I seem to remember from the past there was a batch of BB ignitions that had all the settings wrong.

dracken...no I don't think it's your frame,the SR frame is round top tube,oil in frame,lowtunnel sportster type tank

borg...cheers for that,I've now changed the control box for a brand new one a mate had as a spare,still no! but the spark doesn't look too strong so I reckon on checking the coils and wiring

Also make sure you have coils for Electronic ignitions as well, old points ones might not work, change your cables and plug caps as well if they are older that 2 years. New plugs every year of course :)
