Probably not the best title but it will do. Was reading some crap on a police forum about speed cameras and tickets and found the following quotes

A speeding offences ceases at the point the speed of the vehicle drops below the speed limit. A new offence is committed when it goes over the speed limit again.

If you were caught by two cameras 200m apart, then it could be considered one offence.

If you were caught by different cameras 20 miles apart, then you would have to give evidence that your speed had not dropped below the limit between the two cameras. Hardly something to bring up as a defence though is it

Bet you didn't know that :D

That is good news..where these speed cameras are sited in groups of two or more, you could get banned for going through them if you didn't know that, and for an emergency long distance run, as long as you stay over the speed limit. you can only get caught for one offence!...it's good to know the law! :D John
