Wouldn't mind if most of the people putting out christmas decorations on the outside of their houses could tell you anything about why they celebrate Christmas.....

I also don't object to people putting up Christmas decorations in December... but September, October, November????? NO! I don't need reminding that the commercialised revenue boosting event that is now Christmas is coming in September!

Being a slack christian I felt I should answer this one.. xmas is all wrong and yes we nicked yer festivals pagans but thats religious progress to apease the masses :D

I bought a load of Oxfam Gift aid presents for people this year cos i'm sick of the commercial aspect. we bought a selection of school dinners for a hundred impoverished school children , a goat and some other odd's an sods .. the pressies start at about 6 quid and I feel much better for doing it too.

Not that I really celebrate this time of year, maybe when we have kids .. i dunno .. but Good man, it shouldn't be about £££££ presents and be a little more about goodwill ... I think max you should spend per person is this ... you can find some neat little bits and pieces for a fiver and makes you look a little harder for those people you wish to treat.

We not even having a tree or decs this year, more a sign of respect as my dad died a few weeks back and its put me off a tad.... however we got some wine glasses from Whitedragon Designs / Deathrider with some inscriptions/names written on ... one off / original pressies for a select few ... total £20 + PP
