wtf.......
ideas for other threads on this subject
draymen....twats or not
plumbing and heating engineers...twats or not
(put your chice of job/career here)...twats or not
there are good and bad in any job, not just the civil service, we hve a drayman that thinks its ok to drink 8 pints of bombadier during the day and still drive a 17.5tonne lorry, I have reported the cunt to our bosses and the police and nothings been done and nothing will be done until he kills either a car load of people or a biker ( don't call me a snivelling grass or you WILL be told to fuck off), I don't drink drive, so I class him as the twat....
but this is a good way to piss a lot of people off, for what reason, apart from having a jolly giggle, i'm with GBR on this, this thread should be binned and if john has any sense he will request that before it pisses people right of and the forum dies completely.....
don't mean to be nasty and I know you only asked a question, but see some fuckin sense mate

its not the people but the system thats broke and civil servants only work in the broken system.as carl marks said you can abollish the system ,but the mentality that built that system still exists,so any new system of government will in the end, end up as bad as the one you have got rid of.

whats the point if the alternative ends up as bad as what you got rid of.to realy change any system the mentality of the population needs to change.and we all know how impossible that would be.unless you advocate shooting 75% of the population.

and lets start with the complete "Housing Dept" of Glasgow district council....
six F/N months I've been waiting for my central heating to be installed...No doubt they will get it all sorted out in time for summer...??
Every time I phone up or go visit them they cant find any record of my last contact....

Well, I for one, dont think that civil servants are twats .............. but then I would say that, seeing as I have been one for the last 16 years.
But I do think that we are overworked and underpaid ........... we are getting more work to do, but they want to cut the overall workforce by 12500, that is on top of the however many thousands they have already got rid of. And they want to do this by next year
So they want less people to do more work (for the same rubbish wage), and we have to take more care of our 'customers' ......... I have no problem with helping taxpayers whenever and however I can (sorry but calling a taxpayer a customer makes out that people actually have a choice in wether they pay tax or not)
So ...... more work, less people to do it, more customer care, plus they will be closing alot of the smaller offices down ............ which means that there will be fewer places for out customers to go to for any help that they may need.
Now I am a civil servant and a work in the Banking section so obviously my maths isnt as good as it could be. lol .............. but does any of the above really add up or make any sense (or is it just me)

thats ok I don't mind whether you bin it or not.. I didn't complain when it was locked and I didn't start it to upset anyone..I just copied a wayward theme from the British steel post that was getting out of hand and nothing to do with the original post...if you want to bin it, be my guest..or just don't use it and it will vanish!..John

Before you bin it...
Humourless Multinational Corporations - Twats or what ???
& a quick Q for Pale Rider - If you want to solve the problems of society by shooting 75 % of the population, what the fcuk do you intend to do with the other 24.9 % ?
