Well guys I have just heard my ex-husband is going to be ordained as a roman catholic priest. Was it my fault?
My poor sprogg, no wonder his head is so fucked up, his father's a roman catholic priest and his mum's a witch!!!!!
Jesus, you couldn't write a fictional book about it, people would think the plot was outlandish and ridiculous.

I'd rather be a muslim than a catholic.
Now... that's a hypocritical , controlling , conniving relegion!

It's obvious that if he's become a Catholic Priest, then he must have been a closet gay all the time.............

'well i was brought up as one anyway, but have thankfully have seen the light and become a real person :) '

well, I was brought up a kafflik (Irish branch) too....
But i'm sure that if you were married, you cant become a priest.....Maybe i'm wrong, but i'm sure the catholic church wont recognise divorce....

perhaps some closet catholic can put me right ??

and i take offence that you have not mentioned what a hypocrital and pathetic religion it is,
a close friend of mine died the other year, she was a catholic, and I had not been to any catholic services to do with someones passing from this world, mass was said, the whole thing was a celebration of Bridgets life, unlike the usual assembly line doom and gloom of the church of england.

every religeon has its nasty bits, its share of hypocrassy and there's loads of things I'm sure people of other faiths will find wrong, but at the end of the day, just say sod it and have a drink or a smoke.

Mrs Mad is a catholic and she wanted to get the kids christened as she was worried that if anything happened to them they would go to purgatory, as she had been brought up to believe, but the local priest told her that purgatory had been cancelled.
Marvellous that 2000 years of belief cancelled 'cos they can't really control people by fear anymore

It worries me to think that someone was so traumatised being married to me that they've decided to become celibate for the rest of their lives!!! :D
I understand he will be seeking an annullment from me so he can proceed, doesn't bother me, I'll co-operate just to see him in a black frock.
Can you get an anullment on the grounds that your ex wife has formally denounced the christian faith and been initiated as a witch? I'm not au fait with all this catholic mallarkey! Should cause a stir down the local parochial house anyway :D

My mother had to get a Papal annullment so she could marry my step-father and have the marriage recognised in the eyes of the Church. Took many interviews and form-filling and a total of about 3 years to get it finalized.

If you don't mind me asking what grounds did she get this anullment, I understand it's quite hard if yur not Princess Caroline of Monaco!!!

I haven't got a clue (was too busy taking drugs/drinking/riding bikes/working etc). My dad wasn't anything special - not religious in any way, just constantly bullied her. I think 'x' amount of years had to pass from the original divorce, mum had to 'prove' she was a good Catholic - stuff like that - but yeah - it took a few years to sort out...
