If it's a Marshall DON'T BOTHER - they're pieces of unreliable ****!
Over the years I've had half a dozen new ones,(I used to play for a living), and not one ( including a practice amp) has lasted the guarantee out before it broke down.
I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt, but no joy.
World record so far is the guitarist in our band bought a new one two weeks ago, took it home and it went pop in under two hours. Took it back to the shop, got a replacement which lasted three and a half hours.
He's decided to go back to the MESA BOOGIE.
The main reason the big bands use Marshalls is that they're on a lease/loan basis. Not Rock and Roll, Just business!
OK, I'll admit the speakers are OK (made by Celestion, another company), but not a patch on Peavey Black Widows, or the infinitely superior ElectroVoice speakers.
Truth is you can get much better quality gear for a lot less money if yoiu shop around.

yea, modern technology, My new BC rich guitar (made in Korea i think), ive had to tighten the jack plug twice and my new 50 watt marshall (made er....somewhere), we had to tighten the screws on top, we think the amplifier bit was rattaling against the case lol
