This is how i see it on my site
as long as its biker related gear and a private sale then it adds to the community, so dont mind people joining to posts a for sale ad, especialy as it could be something someone is looking for
if its a business then i think its courtesy to get permission off the site owner
also any regular contributer who contibutes to the forum and has a business would not need to ask

Thats my viewpoint anyway
