The reason cannabis is not legal is because there is no money to be made from it...other than the odd armchair, hobnobs twix kitkat etc...there is no profit to be made...

On the other hand Alcohol..not to mention the ale,lager spirits whatever and the tax of volume and the glasses collectors....after that there is a whole industry based on this substance..
Theres the broken chairs tables...the furniture has to be repaired then theres the ambulance staff, police, hospitals and so on.

I can't touch the stuff - makes me barf heavily as does alcohol. Me and Mitch are terrible lightweights so we're clean living but not by choice. You forgot fags, they'll never be banned because of all the revenue they bring in.

as far as the law regarding cannabis is concerned it seems to be all over the place, in one region you might recieve a caution for possessing a small amount, then again you might not. in another area you might actually recieve a conviction. when a law is simply down to interpretation or the 'discretion' sic of the police then confusion will prevail.

Sorry johny but I gotts disagree! Alcohol costs the Country Billions in crime, lost working days and its responsible for thousands of deaths every day in Britain! If weed was legalised they could tax it just like cigs and alcohol! They would cut the criminal element out of the profits over night and put the money to good use! :o

Can't smoke anything as it makes me fecking illllll! Peeps who are stoned rarely go out looking for a fight, in fact generally the can't be arsed to do more than wander Tesco's at 2am looking for munchies. Used to shop when I finished work. Middle aged woman on till couldn't work out why loads of youngsters came in to buy crisps, choccie, hob-nobs etc. Didn't have the heart to tell her.

why should cannabis be legalized when they (the government) make more money out of it being illegal...ok it gets legalized and we'll all be growing our own. make tobacco illegal and we'll be fecked, you can grow some fine cannabis plants in this country but without special equipment you can't grow tobacco suitable for smoking.

A long time ago, when I was 20 ish, I worked for a news agency here in glasgow....We had a mole who worked for w.d. & h.o wills (the cigarette makers) and he sent us the artwork and designs of the packaging for "xanadoo" the ready made joints which they had planned to sell if the government ever made it legal......

wish i'd kept all now..:(
