Got done for speeding last night!

Own stupid fault, got stuck behind a lost twat doing 15mph and when I finally overtook him I didnt slow down and then saw this copper standing in the road and I didnt even notice the gun!!

Didnt argue, got me 'bang to rights' and I was tanking it, but he was quite good (otherwise it might have been a ban) and just issued an SP30 so 3 points and £60.

First points since 1987 so not bad!!!

I don't wish to jinx myself..... but never had a speeding ticket.....

Just hope the plods don't ask me what speed I was doing overtaking the BMW on the M1 Sunday night when it was hit by a lorry....... Of course I have estimated the BMW's speed at 65 :D

I got a ticket coming back from ilkley, I think it was the roundabout pulling up the hill and got caught by a camera doing forty in a thirty. Really should get a working speedo on the GS. TBH that run from Skipton to Leeds is Revenue Alley, what with Gatsos and average speed traps.

Although never garanteed to be in the same place, some filth frequent a few spots for a while before finding somewhere else.

Nother one to watch is coming back into town on the M621 where it splits from the M1. Just after that there is a big sweeping bend in the 50 zone. They often skulk there as well

If you wanna know where fixed camera's are there's often web sites that list em. There's one for West Yorkshire at this location (http://www.safetycameraswestyorkshire.co.uk/) and I think they also publish where they're gonna be with the mobile on the same site.

Nottinghamshire do the same so I take a look at that on a weekly basis so at least I'm forwarned when I venture out.

We're very lucky in the valleys, we have speeding cameras the same as everyone else...but they only target outsiders. :D I have been through our local one well over the speed limit many times and never had a ticket...The local police are very polite, the traffic warden lets us park on double yellows..It never rains when we want to go out, the snow only falls on the grass, never on the road or path...Do you think I should apply for a job as a politician! :D John

Hahaha anywhere in Bradford!!! Ever been down Thornton Road when people have been doing 30? I witnessed a crash at about 60mph a couple of years back!

Actually the speed cameras don't have to be at places where they have proven speeding, it can also be where there have been 5 serious injuries or a fatality (or numbers similar to that).

Looks like Surrey are being sneaky bastids and not publishing where the mobile units are going to be. Their web site only shows fixed sites and "mobile enforcement" routes. There is a downloadable document of where they've been but that's not much use if they stick it somewhere new.
