beware the old solid ones.
many springers rear tubes are welded where they pass through the lower yoke.
this is the first area to check for cracked chrome or bends.
if they use oil lite bushings in the rockers which are showing signs of wear, indicated by sideways movement then they are easily obtainable from bearing factors and the such like in both metric and imperial, straight and shouldered.
those fitted with needle rollers are not good either as needle rollers are designed for rotational loads not a rocking motion such as a springer would be. if the bolts in the lower rockers a sus don't be tempted to replace them with nice shiny stainless ones, stainless steel bolts are not really high tensile enough for that job.

the braking system if by disc. the caliper locating arm must be fixed to the rear leg and be close to running 90 degs to it.
some older springers i.e. badly made ones had front legs that at the rocker end were a much greater distance from the rear leg than they were at the top.
avoid those like the plague. they can lock up or even break.

ensure that the rocker movement can not put you in a position of having no trail when on maximum lift.
