really getting tempted for a second bike
and i think the piggy bank may just about stretch to one
what i am worried about unless i get something totally different from me Draggie..
will another bike mean neglecting the main one...
mind you i am seriously tempted for either an enfield or an old FJ

I like FJ's - but every one I see advertised on E Bay , usually has a 2nd gear fault - beware!
Have you looked at those luverly new Ural solo classics? Super low , Brembos , leccy start 750cc- looks pretty nice at www.uralmoto.com
(I think!)

I think you'll find that was a problem left over from the "XS" era which bugged some of the earlier model FJs, particularly the 1100s.
Cheap and bulletproof, should finish mine soon !!
Just in time for some serious winter milage :D :D :D

Erm, doesn't that exhaust look a little saggy?
I'd stick with the Enfield as a second bike personally!
What's the budget then Fayji?

Obviously the penalty clauses aren't stringent enough! You have cash left!
*Note to brother Ewok: Check ALL pockets when collecting!*

I'm in a similar position....with a similar budget...
I love mah Buell, its the best bike i have ever had....it really is..
But last night, the bloke i sold mah chop (GSX1100 rigid fighter..) to told me he was gonna sell it, now it will be relatively cheap, n that would leave me a couple of grand to do it up...I'm thinking
bandit 1200 motor...n bandit wheels
Higher bars (possibly 21" apes!!)
Wider slabs...thinkin 180 section tyres back n front!!
lots of goodridge...
possibly N20
satin black paint...
Gonna speak to him tonight...(maybe its destiny....n a bloody good diversion!! fae wimmin!!)
oh well we shall see...
What ever yah decide Fayji i hope yah get summat yah actually want

Hmm! big differance between an Enfield or an FJ! I`d go for something cheap that I could chop up and not cry too much if I made a hash of things! Second hand Enfield For me! Fj`s are ok for beaming up and down the length and breadth of the country BUT.....They lack a certain somthing that cant be measured in horse power! Thats wot I fink! :o
