we all know that normaly carbureted bikes prefer cooler air, so usually run that bit sweeter in spriing autumn and evenings
my bike has one of them fuel injection things
yesterdays run early on when cool etc was glorious, really sweet
goes it have the same effect atmospherically on fuel injection?

Same fuel,same air,different delivery system.......

cool air is denser mate... denser air.. more oxygen in the cylinders... more power... :D

yes, course it does, its not got anything to do with the fuel really, cooler air is denser than warmer air at the same level in the atmosphere., ever so slightly, and as a result, a given volume of cool air contains more oxygen than the same volume of warmer air, and the more oxygen you can pack into the air then the more power you can make,

cooler evenings = smaller bladder = ride quicker to avoid embarrassment

hence why turbo,s run better with an intercooler!!! now water injection with a supercharger?? answer that one! ;)

Remind's me! When I was a lot younger I used to to experiment with wick's and drip feeders for water induction to get my old cd175 to go faster on sunday drag runs down canvey island :) (never did get it right) :o

Latent heat of evaporation mate, works with turbos as well. water has a very high phase change energy.

Which is also why NOX works so well on engines. It gives a whacking boost of oxygen, but just as importantly it's freezing as it expands from the pressurised injection system... just like an aerosol getting cold as the gas shoots out. So your engine get a shot of very dense very cold oxygenated fuel without geting so excited it blows it's stack.. if everything goes to plan!
