I live out in Thailand and have a 400cc Dragstart 2003.

I've been looking into getting pipes made for it - but do I need to go for any specific dimensions at the back? Or do I just let them build them roughly - obviously to fit onto the manifold though.

Will I need to get any work done on the engine?

What is rejetting?

For all of you paying the pound for work to your bikes - A crash bar, sissy bar, rear passanger foot plates, hand made leather x - large saddle bags and a new rear tyre cost me 15000B which is about 200 quid all fitted.

Thanks for the advice in advance.

Mrs quirrel/Mr Squirrel ?

Re-jetting is the changing (up or down) of the jets in the carb.

If you play with the pipes, you will have to do some work on your carbs.

(Why do I get the feeling it's like "groundhog day"???

you can have the pipes any size you like - but it would be best to have a bit of baffling (a washer welded inside the pipe with a large hole - so say a 1.5" pipe with a 1" hole washer inside at a rough guess...)

re-jetting is adjusting the amount of fuel that goes in - if you have special pipes made you will need to adjust this. do a search for dynojet and see if they do a kit for your bike.. the kit has a new needle in it, and new jets to put in the carb. you will then need to find a rolling road or 'dyno' to run the bike on to check that the fuelling is correct.

good luck..

Cheers for that

i highly doubt that there is a rolling road available to me in Thailand that is reliable.

I will look out for dynynojet carbs kit.

I don't think i legally have to haveany baffling here but if its for performance reasons ill stick a washer in

Cheers again.
